Abby's POV:

It had been a three weeks since my accident and I was healing better than ever. Every other weekday, I was at the hospital meeting with my doctors, starting physical therapy, and constant check ins. Waking up that morning, I couldn't possibly wait any longer to go back to the office and see the team, especially Anderson.

The weird thing about Anderson is that he's always around but half the time we don't act like it. Sure, he's occasionally invited to the team dinners at Rossi's and always checks in during the week with the team, but he's never gotten on the same level that the rest of the team is on. However, I have been one that has always checked on him and invited him when nobody thought to. He was one of my closest friends outside of the immediate team.

As soon as my alarm went off at 5:00, I nearly jumped out of bed. Walking across the room, I turned off my alarm before downing a glass of water.

"Geez, calm down. Why are you so jumpy this morning?" Spencer asked in his raspy, morning voice. I always loved his morning voice, it honestly made my heart flutter. Odd, but I guess it's just my thing.

"Well, today is the day! I get to go back to work!" I cheered, walking back over to the bed to sit down beside Spencer, moving his legs out of the way.

"It's just work, we'll probably be put on another case and have to leave." Spencer groaned, turning away from me.

"I know but I'm so excited to see everyone! Especially Anderson,  I haven't seen him in like over a month." I leaned down to rub his back.

"Why Anderson? The dude isn't even apart of our team." Spencer snapped.

"You know you guys could act like he exists sometimes."

"Whatever." Spencer got out of bed, walking over to the bathroom.

"What's your problem?" I asked, walking into the bathroom behind him.

"Nothing. It's just funny how all of a sudden you're so excited to see Anderson."

"I mean he's my friend." I turned to walk out of the room. Gosh, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

After I finished curling my hair, I walked downstairs to make a glass of tea as I was greeted by Pebbles. I felt bad because I still hadn't explained to Mag what had happened to me, but I hoped to find time eventually between doctors appointments and cases.

"Are you ready to go?" Spencer stood in the foyer with his messenger bag over his shoulder.

"Yeah, let me just grab my water and keys. I'll meet you in the garage."

I grabbed my keys and gun out of the safe before heading back downstairs to set the alarm. Heading out to the car, Spencer was already buckled in, waiting on me. Opening the driver's side door, I got in and pulled out. Usually our morning drives consist of talking about our days or jamming out to music, but this morning it was dead silent. I knew Spencer was a bit mad at me and didn't feel like talking so I kept quiet.

Pulling into the parking garage, I swiped my badge before the gate buzzed open. We were about half an hour early, so there weren't that many cars there. I parked in my assigned spot before grabbing my bag from the backseat. As I walked into the office with Spence, I reached for his hand, in which he immediately pulled it away.

"Gosh, okay." I said, holding my hands up acting as if I was an unsub. Entering the building we made our way to the elevators before heading up. Walking into the office, I felt a sense of relief. I noticed that nobody had came in yet, but expected that since we were early. Spencer walked over to his desk and I made my way back to Garcia's cave.
