Two days have passed since we found out that our parents are not our biological parents. Holt and I had a good chat and no matter what happens we will always be brother and sister. I love him, and my parents with all my heart and that will never change, but I want to find out what happened to my birth parents, so does Holt.
I looked out of the window as I watched Romeo. He was still hanging around and has been near me all night and day. I know he has something to do with the truth. Like my mother told me at the hospital. She said that someone will turn up and tell me the truth on my twenty-fifth birthday... It's got to be Romeo, right?
Holt walked over to me as I watched Romeo.
"Talk to him, Holland... He knows the answers to your questions."
"I'm afraid to hear them, Holt... What if they are bad and I belong to a group of drug lords or something?"
Holt chuckled as he hugged me.
"You have always been a fantasy dreamer... Never change, Holland."
I grinned as he kissed my head.
"As mum and dad are getting better. They have asked Aunt Tess to come over to stay to help them... But I will be away for a while."
"So you are leaving to look for your birth parents too then?"
"Yes, I am. I know you want to know who your parents are. So go to Romeo... At least you know where to start."
"Holt, just be careful out there okay? You are my big brother no matter what anyone says, and I still care and love you."
"I love you too, sis... That will never change... I promise."
Tears fell from us both as I held Holt tightly. He picked up his bag and opened the front door. He smiled at me as he closed it behind him. My heart hurt as I watched him leave. We have never been apart from each other. It was going to be hard to be away from him.
The front door opened slowly and I saw Romeo smile at me.
"Holland? Holt told me to come inside... Is that okay?"
I smiled as I wiped away my tears and nodded. He walked over to me and held out this hand as he looked into my eyes.
"Let's go out. We can just take in the gorgeous sunshine and relax."
I chuckled softly as I nodded then took his hand before he pulled me gently out the door. We walked along the beach still holding hands. He made me feel so relaxed. I had so many questions I wanted to ask him but I was too afraid to say anything. I think Romeo sensed I wanted to talk and took off this jacket then laid it down upon the sand. He smiled as he sat down on the sand beside his jacket. I chuckled as I sat down next to him.
"Tell me, Holland you are a big believer in love right?"
I chuckled at him as he asked.
"Why do you ask me that question?"
"Well, I just get this feeling you would... Am I right?"
"Yes, but how would you possibly know that?"
He chuckled softly as he took my hand then caressed it gently.
"I know a thing or two about you, just by looking at you."
"Is that so?"
I chuckled softly as Romeo grinned.
"I am a romantic. I love fairytales and fantasy-romances. I believe in true love and crave it. My brother calls me a dreamer."
