I Hate Being Lonely

I sit in my room ready in bed. I thought I would do some reading as I can't sleep in this heat, It is the middle of the summer here. It's always hot in the fire lands, but the summers are extremely hot, even at night. Even for dragons, it's uncomfortable, I get why Brody had the castle made from stone and the floors with marble, Just to help keep us cool. I just hope the winters are cooler.

I put down my book and got out of bed, I walked over to the window to open it. I looked around as I heard a voice whisper to me.

"My queen, come outside."

"Breeze?"

I looked around but I couldn't see him.

"Where are you?"

"Up here."

He lowered his hand down to me. He is on the roof? I took his hand as I climbed out of the window and he pulled me up to the roof. He then pulled me into his arms. I looked into his beautiful ice blue eyes as they sparkled in the bright moonlight. I whispered to him, still drawn to him.

"What are you doing up here?"

He smiled as he took me by the hand and we sat down together on the roof.

"This is where I sleep each night now... I like it out here and I want to be close to you and protect you."

"Thank you for wanting to protect me. Is there anything I can do to make your stay more comfortable? I'm sure we can sort out your needs."

He chuckled softly as he took some of my hair in his hand and started playing with it with his fingers.

"No, I'm fine and I'm very happy here as I feel closer to you up here, but thank you, my queen."

I smiled at him then I spoke softly as I looked up at the two blight moons shining down on us.

"Are you hungry? Do you need more blood?"

"No, I'm fine at the moment. But I can't ask you to give your blood again."

"I'm happy to help you, Breeze. There is a forest in the realm, but I'm not sure if there is any wildlife here as I have not been into the woods."

He chuckles softly as he still plays with my hair.

"I'm sure I will find something when it's needed. You are very kind to me and I am forever in your debt, my queen."

He lowered his head to me. I smiled as I lifted his chin with my finger. I looked into his eyes once again as I spoke.

"This is what family does, we look after each other."

He smiled then pressed his lips to mine. My eyes opened wide, I wasn't expecting him to kiss me again. He noticed my surprise and pulled his lips away.

"I'm sorry, my queen, please forgive me?"

He lowered his head again.

"It's okay, you just took me by surprise that's all."

He raised his head then smiled.

"Is Breeze your real name?"

He chuckled softly then shook his head.

"No, I was giving the name Breeze because I can move really quickly as I leave behind a Breeze."

I chuckled at his answer.

"I will show you sometime. I bet you have never moved as fast as I can...I know dragons can fly fast but I can move a lot faster."

"I look forward to it... So what is your real name?"
