Unconditional Love: Part Two

We all arrived back at the castle and Luna put Scarlet down in the nursery for me with Sasha as she put Jack down for the night too, in the same crib.

I invited them all to stay with me at the castle, while our boys were at war, and they all agreed to stay. I knew Breeze wouldn't leave my side. He sat on the sofa next to me then pulled me onto his lap.

Sasha and Luna soon joined us in the living room as Kara made us all herbal tea. I now have to go back to that again, now I am pregnant. But I miss my coffee already. Kara placed down the cup on the table and smiled. I pulled a funny face and she giggled.

"You know it's better for the baby."

"Yes I know, thank you, Kara."

She smiled then touched my hand gently before she sat down with her tea. Breeze smiled and pulled me in closer as he caressed my stomach.

"You knew again didn't you? That I was with child again, right?"

"Yes, I had a feeling that is why I couldn't leave your side, my queen."

He grinned and I stroked this face gently.

"Thank you, Breeze. I love you."

"I love you too, my queen... You make me so happy."

Sasha was watching us closely as she drank her tea. I looked up at her and smiled. It seemed like she wanted to say something, but was so afraid. I knew she wasn't sure about the rules of me being her queen right now.

She smiled as I spoke to her.

"Please don't be afraid to speak when you want to.  I am your queen, but in the dragon realm, we treat everyone the same here. You are also my family and part of the clan now."

"Thank you, my queen."

"Please call me Holland."

"Thank you, Holland. It's just... I was watching you with Breeze. I'm starting to get it now. I think I understand the ways of the dragon. At first, I felt it wasn't right to love so many men, but now I have come to see it for myself. I understand better."

Luna smiled then spoke.

"Most humans don't, as they are used to human ways in the human world. They don't understand our ways at all... It's just the same way in the wolf realm, in a pack. We are devoted to the Alpher, even if it is a male at the time and he calls on the females to mate, we also obey his orders."

"But you are in love with Ashby, right? Does it not bother you if Holland calls on Ashby to mate?"

Luna chuckles softly as she places her cup on the table. She took my hand in hers as she spoke.

"No. not at all. This is something Holland as the queen must do. She has to reproduce her clan with the male dragons. It does not matter if she loves them completely or not, she still loves her clan in her own way and will always put them first... That is why they are very loyal to their queen."

I smiled up at Luna and she squeezed my hand.

"What about you Kara? You are half-human and witch. Do the witches do the same?"

She chuckled as she spoke.

"Good god, no!... But I have accepted the rules here as I decided to stay in this realm. I am devoted to Holland and the dragon realm... If it wasn't for the  dragons taking me in when they did, then I wouldn't have a safe place to live and a family to belong to that loves me in return."

"Oh, Kara... That was so sweet, thank you for all you have done for us. If it wasn't for your magic and the help from the other witches, the realm would not be as beautiful as it is right now and safe."
