I watch everyone all chatting and messing around as I smile at Holland. She is so beautiful and I'm falling in love with her like crazy. But I often wonder if I'm doing the right thing? Maybe she really is better off being with Brody? He is promised to marry her and repopulate the Redstone clan with her.
I've noticed Luna the lone wolf, is now involved with the group as she is connected with Ashby. That is because of Holland. Like a true queen, she has brought the clan together. It doesn't matter if they are not dragons, as long as they have true love they will be fine together.
When a dragon falls in love they fall completely hard and truly with the one they have chosen. I know Phoenix came really close a few weeks ago. I should have told Holland about her dragon form going into heat once a month. I should have been there for her more, but I also have to help train the younger ones with Ashby and Phoenix. So I can't always be around, but I hate myself for letting her down. Thankfully she had Luna helping her understand.
Holland has also brought together Kara the half-witch together with Odin, her real brother. I know Odin is almost completely in love with her too. Everyone has found their mates. The only ones that are left, is the half-vampire and me. I know he loves Holland too. He is never away from her side, but I know he will continue to love her from afar, as he protects her. She is his queen now.
I looked over to see her more relaxed with Brody by the fire as we all sat in the flower garden. I can tell she is getting closer to him each day. I don't know if I can compete with the head dragon? The way he holds her closer to him is breaking my heart. I can't stop falling in love with her and once I do fall. I fall completely.
I will always love her and only her even if she chooses Brody. There's no going back for dragons that fall completely in love. This is something I have to deal with. I started to get up and Holland looked up as she spoke.
"Romeo? Are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm fine. I just need to do something. I will be right back."
"Okay, Hurry back... I will miss you."
I smiled at her then took her hand in mine as I kissed it softly. She looked at me with love in her eyes, but am I enough for her? I let go of her hand then left them to it. I needed time away to think.
I headed up to my room. I could still hear them all giggling with the laughter. I just wish I could hold her in my arms right now, but when Brody is around I knew I didn't stand a chance as he takes over. I moved towards the window as Odin was joking around with her. I smiled as I watched. I knew they had a lot to catch up on.
Then Brody stole a kiss from her and she looked at him with desire. My heart filled with pain. I know if she wanted to call us in her dragon form to mate we all had to do it, as she is the queen. I really needed to tell her that also applies to her brother. Dragon ways are not like human ways. We share our queen to repopulate the dragon realm, but my human side doesn't want to share her. That is why she had a very close call with Phoenix. Even if he does fall completely in love with Luna, she knows if Holland gives the matting call in dragon form his desire will take over and impregnate Holland.
So the question is... Do I fight for her love and pray she chooses me? Or do I let Brody claim her as he is meant to do? Maybe I should just keep my distance for now until she decides. That's it. I will let her decide.
The next morning I got up early, I wanted to go for another fly around before I went to train the younger ones at dragon school. Holland noticed me just as I was about to leave. I really didn't think she would be up this early.
"Romeo? I missed you last night. Where did you go?"
"Oh sorry, I just got caught up with a few things. Did you have a fun night?"
She chuckles softly as she spoke and I just wanted to pull her into my arms and kiss her passionately.
"Yes, I think we all have boned as a real family now... That includes you too, you know? I've missed you so much."
I smiled at her as her gorgeous eyes looked up into mine. Hell, Holland, you make me want you so badly.
"I know and I miss you too, but I have a busy few days ahead of me. I will try to spend time with you when I can... You still have Brody and the others."
"But It's you that I want, I'm in love with you."
Does she really love me that much? But what about Brody? Does she love him?
"I love you too, but what about Brody?"
"What about Brody?"
"Do you love him as much as me?"
She reached out to touch my chest and the arousal started to bubble up deep inside of me. I groaned softly as she ran her hands slowly down my chest. I knew she was trying to tell me something, but an arm moved around her waist then pulled her away from me.
"There you are, Hydra... What are you up too with Romeo?"
Damn you, Brody. I knew he would affect her and take her away from me. I looked at her then spoke.
"I will talk with you later, I better go."
"Romeo... I still.."
I heard her call out to be then Brody said something to her. He then took her away as I looked back to see his lips on her neck as she melted in his arms. I roared with anger as I transformed into my dragon form. I was losing her to him. I just knew it... She no longer needs me.
I flew around the fire lands taking my anger out by breathing out fire. We only ever use fire if we are pissed when we fight in a war or when we are greatly aroused as we are touched by the one we truly love. Also when the queen calls us to mate as the arousal is so strong. I really want her to touch me or even call on me. I needed to feel her right now.
As I flew around over water and the mountains, even old dead volcanoes. I thought I could hear her. I looked around but I couldn't see her. I think It is wishful thinking. But I heard her call again. I roared out in frustration. I love her so much I can't stop falling deeper in love. I even can hear her voice when she's not around.
I heard her call me again, but this time I saw her. She was standing on the edge of an old volcano that is now a volcano pool that is full of water. She was waving her arms to get my attention. I watched her slip as I got nearer to her and she fell in the pool. I swooped down fast to her then transformed back into my human form.
My god, Holland please be alright. I saw blood in the water as I raced over and pulled her out. I laid her on the ground as I checked her breathing. I couldn't feel or hear it. I started to press on her chest as I pressed my lips to hers to give her air
"Holland... No, Holland... Stay with me... I love you completely."
