Broken Hearts: Part Two

As we arrived at the castle, I took Holt and Sasha into the living room as the others sat down with us. Phoenix smiled as he whispered into my ear.

"I will make us all some herbal tea."

I pulled a face and he chuckled. He knew I hated drinking that and I carved a cup of coffee but as I am pregnant Luna and Kara won't let me drink any and told them all to give me herbal tea.

"I know it is better for the baby, thank you for doing this, Phoenix."

He chuckled then kissed me on the head before he walked off to the kitchen. Romeo heard and chuckled too. I gently nudged him and he chuckled again. I grinned as he pulled me in closer.

Holt smiled at me, but I knew he was feeling confused seeing me like this with them all over me. I had a lot to explain about the dragon ways. I just hoped he would understand and not get scared as we are dragons.

I smiled as I started to tell Holt all about the last dragon realm and the ways of the queen and the male dragons. He nodded and smiled as I spoke. I think he understood everything I was saying to him as the door opened and Odin walked into the room. I smiled up at him as Odin took my hand in his.

"Just in time, Odin. I want you to meet my brother Holt."

Odin bowed his head to him and Holt smiled.

"This is Sasha, Holt's wife."

Odin smiled as he spoke.

"It's nice to finally meet you both, I can see you are with child as Holland is Sasha... When will the baby be born?"

"It is due very soon as I am eight months gone."

Odin smiled as he touched my stomach.

"Holland is due soon too."

Sasha looked confused as she spoke.

"You don't look that far gone, only a few months, how can that be?"

I chuckled as I explained.

"Dragons are different from humans. I will only carry for a few months as I am a dragon. The baby grows very quickly. I would only be a couple of weeks if I was still in the human world."

Odin then spoke as he looked at Holt and Sasha.

"Time is different here in the dragon realm. The human world will pass quickly but here it is slower because of the two suns and moons."

Holt reached to hold my other hand as he spoke.

"That explains a lot... For you, it has been a short time, but for us, in the human world, the years have moved on. We have been married for two years now."

"Two years? Really? I have missed two years?"

"That is something else I need to tell you, Holland."

I looked at Holt concerned.

"Has that got something to do with our parents not being here?"

Holt looked down at our hands for a moment before he looked back up and spoke.

"Yes. Can we go somewhere to talk in private?"

"Of course."

I looked at Romeo and he nodded. He understood I wanted him to stay with Sasha as we talked.

"Romeo will stay with you Sasha, Is that Okay?"

She smiled and nodded. I then got up then pulled on Holt's hand. I grabbed Odin's hand too and we left the living room. I took them both up to my room. I sat down on the bed and Odin sat beside me as Holt sat in a chair.
