CHAPTER THIRTY SEVEN

LUXRINE

Bumalik ako sa mansion para maghanap ng kasagutan sa mga tanong ko. I have a clue in my head pero kailangan ko nang matibay na ebidensya. Yung nakita kong kwintas sa drawer ni Ate Zei, kaparehas na kaparehas sa kung anong mayroon ako.

Pagkatapos kong magpalit ng damit ay dumiretso ako sa opisina ni Daddy. Doon naman palagi siya eh. Kumatok muna ako bago pumasok, he welcomed me with his smiled and hugged me.

"Bakit ka umuwi, Princess? Walang sinabi sa akin si Luxrae," he asked habang iginaya ako paupo sa upuan niya.

"I just miss you, D-dad," I said. It's true that I really miss him. I smiled at me and pinch my cheeks. Napaaray naman ako.

"I miss you too, my princess," He said. I looked away and felt a little pinch in mg heart. I kind of felt uncomfortable whenever they called me 'princess'. Siguro dahil alam ko na hindi naman talaga ako ang tunay na princess.

I stared at my Dad. Whatever happens, he will always be my father for me. Siya ang nag-alaga at nagpalaki sa akin. He loves me like his own. Ni minsan hindi ko naramdaman na hindi niya ako anak. Its time to give back everything that he have done for me. I want him to be happy.

I wonder if my parents were like him. How are they with my kuyas? How are they as a parent? I felt sad that I don't have a chance just to see and know them. I know, they just don't sacrifice their lives for me but also for our clan. I hope they're happy wherever they are.

"Dad?" I get his attention when I noticed that he was done with hos phone call.

"Hmm?" he looked at me, frowning.

"About my necklace. Where did it came from?" I asked. I hold my necklace on my neck. As I remember, he gave me this when I was six years old.

He sighed and sit beside me.

"That was a heirloom necklace. It was pass by generation with our ancestors. Why?" he answered while he was softly caressing my hair.

"Nag-iisa lang po ba 'to?"

"Dalawa. I gave the other one to your mother."  He looked away. "But she d-died kaya nag-iisa na lang 'yan at walang kaparehas."

I kept on thinking of what Dad said. Nag-iisa na lang ito? Kung ganoon, ano iyong kay Ate Zeiah? Possible kayang galing iyon kay Mom? Sa asawa ni Dad? Kung dalawa lang itong kwintas sa mundo at walang kaparehas, at iyong kwintas ni Ate Zei ay bigay ni Mom.

Then the real vampire princess is Ate Zeiah!

LUXRAE

Agad namin hinanap si Lawrence, na si Luxer pala. I still can't believe that my brother is alive! Halo-halo ang nararamdaman ko. Ni hindi ako mapakali. Naramdaman ko ang yakap ni Zeiah mula sa likod ko. I suddenly felt at ease.

"Mag-iingat kayo," she whispered. Humarap ako sa kaniya.  I wipe the dried tears on her face. Her eyes was still teary. I know she was trying to understand the situation. All along, she knew Luxer as his older brother.

"I'll be back." I gave her a kiss on her forehead. She smiled and nodded. "I love you."

Aalis na sana ako pero hinila niya ako pabalik at binigyan ako ng halik sa labi. I was a bit shocked because it was the first time she initiated the kiss. Nang humiwalay siya, I caved for more so I pulled her again for a deep sweet kiss.
