"Come on !" I yell very frustrated as my stupid books that are threatening to topple over from my locker ,On top of that I feel someone poking at my back not stating their business.

"What! What! What!" I yell and whip my head around to look at the unlucky fellow whose about to get an earful of yelling.
"Uuuh!" I gasp and drop my bag engulfing the apple of my eye , Sophie . Well at least one of the two apples of my eye.
"Ooh I missed you so much." I yell.Im instantly aware that I am .
"I missed you so much" I whisper again as if she didn't hear me the first time.

"I missed you too." She returns holding my hands and squeezing them.
Let me properly introduce you , this is Sophia Spencer and if this was a movie there'd be a cool freeze frame , she's the sweetest person ever to inhabit the earth ,charming and looks like she was birthed by a goddess .

"Wow you look amazing!" She flatters me as she runs her long fingers through my black hair.
"Your skin ,ooh and your hair girl !" She continues ...if only she knew what I went through this morning trying to fix my damn hair which was previously a bird's nest .
"Your exaggerating." I roll my eyes .
"Now if only you could fix your wardrobe."
Aah there it is.

I just smile and from the corner of my eye I spot the other apple .
Alex .

Cue mental freeze frame.

Alex Drew , beautiful , another charmer , enviable golden brown skin that's never been affected by puberty , large soft pooffy hair and a bubbly personality . She's one of the school's most beloved since she's won the school a couple dance trophies.

I admiringly watch as she walks through the hallway and greets people , points at them winks at them. Im surprised she rejected the popular kids club to hang out with me .
"Hey!" She says strutting towards us and hugging us tightly.

"Man I missed you guys ." She smiles brightly.

I'm sitting in class but I can't hear a word the teacher's saying .Not on purpose , my mind keeps drifting off to the movie we watched , Elle ended up getting the guy she likes.
He loved her so much,I wish I could get the guy . Specifically Lee Smith .My eyes scan the room until I spot him ,I can't keep my eyes off him his beautiful black hair , his black eyes that sparkle in the sunlight . Those long eyelashes and shapely brows.
I stare at the veins pulsating through his tan arms as he writes... whatever the teacher is teaching .

Swoon. Sigh .

"Hey are you okay ?" Alex waves her hand in my face .
I jerk back to reality.

"Yeah why?"

"You haven't touched your food."

"Also you've been ogling Lee for the past twenty minutes ." Sophie adds.

"I have-- I mean no I haven't."

Silence.

"Do you guys ...think there's something wrong with me ?"

"Woah, what's that about?" Alex asks wide eyed .

"Well ,I mean ...a lot of people around me  have boyfriends but me , I just want ... to feel what they feel ."

"I don't have one. "Alex says grabbing my burger from my plate, you know that one friend who could eat a whole fridge and not get fat? For me that's Alex.

"Yeah but I want one " I start.
"I want someone who's hoodies I can steal, someone to watch a horror movie with and pretend to be scared so he protects me ."

I'm not really afraid of horror movies but the thought of having someone protect you sounds nice.

"Well there's a whole zoo of boys in Northwright High,pick one and go for it ." Sophie advices .

"No...I don't want just any boy .I want ...Lee."I murmur the last part.
"Yeah we know but ...I mean ,a lot of girls throw themselves at him " Sophie says " he's always busy , it would take a miracle for him to notice you in the sea of other hormonal teenagers , youd have to stand out."

"You don't really do... standing out ."

She wasn't wrong .

"I'm gonna do it " I say .

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah!" I'm getting excited now.

"Well ,good for you ."Alex says licking the tomato sauce off her fingers.

"And your gonna help me."

"Oh no no no no,you know how I feel about romance. It disgusts me ." She glares at me .

"I do know but come on ,pleeaaaseee, your helping me your friend , you love me." I beg pouting and batting my eyelids at her.

She looks at me and sighs heavily .
"Your seriously gonna owe me ." She's given up .

"Oh this Is gonna be fun ." Sophie smiles clapping her hands childishly.

"When this is done ,I want my sanity back.Oh good God" Alex  groans and takes a huge gulp of my orange juice.
