Alex.

"Alex !" Sophie grasps dramatically placing a hand over her chest .

"What ?" I ask looking up from my English text book .

"You're  doing homework , you never do homework .what's wrong ?"

"What are you talking about of course I do my homework ." I argue .

"Yeah sure you do ." She sarcastically puts in and drags a chair to come sit next to me . The class is empty since it's lunch time . I don't really want to be around people right now , so I'm kinda wishing Sophie would leave .

"Why aren't you having lunch outside , why aren't you having lunch at all ?" She asks pushing back a strand of her blonde hair .

"No reason ."

"Come on talk to me , Lex." She pouts .

"It's nothing really ." I try to drag it along as much as possible , Sophie gets bored really quick .

"I don't believe you ." She says firmly staring me down like she's trying to read my thoughts .

"Look I got stuff I have to do , like math ...and...stuff, so can this wait ?" I say .
"No , it can not sweetheart . Tell me what's going on with you ?"

"Are you sure you're not going to leave before I finish talking , like some people I know ?" I ask seriously but not looking at her .

"Try me ."  She challenges .

"Ugh , okay ." I groan and after telling her the whole issue with home , she just ...

"Yeeeaah sorry I asked ." She sighs apologetically , I get her , Sophie and I may at times talk about our problems but we aren't exactly helpful to eachother. Good at listening but incredibly terrible when it comes to comforting or giving "words of encouragement " Quinn's the head of that department .
Since she started obsessing over Lee , she hasn't exactly been present in our lives . I get that she's been madly in love with Lee for the longest time and she really wants a chance at a relationship with him  so I guess I can't blame her .

" No it's okay ." I reply to Sophie who looks like she's desperately searching the far corners of her mind to find anything good to say .

"Well why haven't you told Quinn , she's really good at this kind of stuff ." She asks .

"I've tried but she keeps blowing me off for Lee ." I answer .

"Yeah I've noticed."

And this the point where Quinn entered the classroom and told us about the party , right before she left while I was right in the middle of my sentence.

"Wow look at this place ." Sophie gasps in amusement , taking in as much of the scenery as she could , at least that's the conclusion I drew from her bulging wide eyes .
The place really does look awesome , Lee really has outdone himself . When it comes to decoration , especially for parties , Lee is a master it's really nice of him to do this for Mike .

Sophie and I came alone and late to the party we were waiting for Quinn but she never showed nor did she bother to pick our calls .
We see her walking towards us and I cannot believe my eyes , what in the world is this girl wearing .
What's happening to her , the Quinn I know would never agree to wearing ...that .
Then I got my answer when I saw Katie , I'm not one hundred percent sure but I'm like ninety nine point nine and a half sure she's the spawn of the literal devil .
She has to be.
Acts all prissy and gentle and calls people "sweetie" and "honey" but really she's just luring them into her snares like some kind of human spider . That girl could drag you to hell.
To be honest  , I'm looking at Quinn right now and I'm thinking , "how dumb could you possibly be ?" She knows how mean and conniving Katie is but she just....

Ugh, whatever .

She will probably figure it out on her own , she wouldn't listen to us anyway . Giving people the benefit of the doubt and what not .

"Can you believe , her?" Sophie asks looking absolutely annoyed .

"I know ." I answer as I try to maneuver through the crowds of sweaty teenagers trying to do what looks like the woah but I can't be sure , others doing drinking challenges and the more disgusting ones making out all over the place .

"Why would she hang out with those two snakes!" She sneers her blue eyes lit with anger , nostrils flaring and her hands twitching . She looks like she could cut a bitch.

"Let's just go find Mike , okay let her do her ." I conclude as I direct Sophie in the direction where  Mike is  a bit farther away from where we are .
Right before we get to him we hear commotion and murmuring  from a group of girls next to us , they're talking about Quinn.
Sophie and I didn't hear them well so we opted to go where the group of giggling girls were going .

"What.tha-" I start.

"Hell?" Sophie finishes .

The two bandanas  Quinn was wearing , are floating above the crystal blue pool water . Below the water you can visibly see Quinn curled up , she's probably running out of air .
I am pissed at her but I can't let her go through a more embarrassing situation than this already is , that could happen any moment now since  she's struggling to keep below the water , such a light weight.

"Come on ." I tug at Sophie's hand  and lead her to the power
switch .
I turn it off and before I can get back to the pool , I notice Lee is already helping her out .
I honestly don't feel like being here any longer so after Sophie and I gave Mike our gifts we left .
