"Here take this and this ." Katy throws some "clothes " in my direction .

"What am I supposed to do with two bandanas ?" I ask confused . At the back of my mind I'm wondering how the hell I let her talk me into this . I was happily going to meet up with my two bestest friends when she came out of nowhere and asked me to go with her so she could help me get dressed for the party .Now, I politely declined but then she started talking about how so many girls were going to the party and they would be dressing to impress Lee .
That got my attention . So she continued , said she knew the kind of outfits Lee likes on a girl and she would love to help me out , Heather vigorously nodded at her every word and bada bing bada boom I'm here .

"Ugh , your going to wear it as a top silly ." Katy says and ties it up for me so it has a bra like appearance. She folds the bandanas  , putting the opposite edges join  forming triangles then tying them at the pointed tips , putting it around my towel covered  chest tying the other tips over my neck and around my upper back. The bandanas were of different colours one black , one blue .
I had to wear it with long baggy trousers  that hugged my waist tightly then flowed loosely downward which were a little too long and baggy for me and heels even though my feet still hurt a little , wore them anyway.

"I don't know you guys , are you sure this isn't going to come off ?" I'm talking about the bandanas.

"No, besides you look way cuter in this outfit than any other alternative ." Heather assures .

After a few hours of make up and them gossiping as usual , we were done and were of to the party .

The place looks amazing , it's beautifully decorated with with balloons of gold black and white colour, streamers were hung everywhere and a huge banner that said happy birthday Mike .
There were neon lights of purple and pink , strobing lights and the  indistinct groups of guys and girls playing  alcohol based games , others chatting , others busting moves on the dance floor .

"Hey you ?" Lee startles me when he walks up behind me .

"Just got here ?" He asks.

"Uh , yeah ."

"Where's Alex and Sophie ?" He looks around.

"Oh  , I came with Katy and Heather ."

"Oh ." I can't read that tone .

"You look nice , bold choice of clothing." He says eyeing the bandanas .

"Thanks."

"Yeah ." He yells over the loud booming music .

"I feel bad , I didn't bring a present I just thought it was a normal teenage party .I'm so sorry ."

"Don't worry about it , I didn't tell a lot of people about it so he wouldn't find out.Its hard to keep a secret from him."

"This is really sweet of you ."

"Thanks ."he blushes .

Lee and Mike met last year . Mike was new to the school and had been moved around a lot because his parent were always  busy with work and they kept getting transferred .
Mike was a silent boy who barely spoke a word to anyone , the seniors liked bullying poor Mike .
Lee was always loved by the seniors  and still is , like I said he's a charming guy . So Lee got into a fight with the older boys defending him  and risking his friendships for a guy he barely knew , they became casual friends from then on  , had a few lunches together  talked until they formed this unbreakable bond .
Mike being in a wheelchair ,  thought he was dragging Lee down and that he wouldn't want his reputation ruined for hanging out with the weird kid who sits in the back of the class.
Lee however loved and still loves Mike's company over any other , he never felt shame for hanging out with him despite what people would think .He made Mike gain confidence in himself and now Mike is nearly just as popular.

Side note though, what Lee did only made us love him more . He could probably kick a grandma in the face and people would still love him .

"Well , I'm gonna go bring some more drinks you have fun I'll see you later cool ?"

"Yeah sure."

"Alex , Sophie ." I yell their names as soon as I spot them.
The gossip girls left me to go talk to some guys .

"You came . Your a little late though " I chirp excitedly .

"Yeah , we were waiting for you ." Sophie says in an annoyed tone .

"Heather and Katy asked me to go with them ."

"But you asked us to come with you first ." Alex joins.

"Also , your hanging out with those  bimbos !" Sophie asks surprised .

"Well , were all here so I don't see what the problem is really ."

"Are you seriou-" Sophie starts before she is interrupted by Katy.

"Quinn honey , come on ." Katy yanks my arm forcefully .

"Oh hi girls ?" She barely gives them a glance .

"Where are we going?" I ask  not budging to her continuous yank.

"Were going to play alcohol pong ."

"I don't drink ."

"But Lee is over there looking lonely , I'm sure you wouldn't want him getting the wrong company ?"

"Oh ." I turn and look over to Lee , there's a bunch of girls watching him and they look likes they're going to make a move on him .

Oh no you don't.

"Yeah I'll go with you , shall we ?" I ask and we walk off immediately .

"I'll catch up with you guys later okay ? Okay ." I wave .

"Later girls ." Katy waves at them and links her arm with mine.
