Spiraling

Chapter 14

Shikamaru was in a bit of a tense situation, of all the times Temari could've chosen to come to the Hidden Leaf it had to be when he was coming back from a mission! To make things worse Tsunade has recently made Naruto lessen his time in the TI department and get him used to her daily life as Hokage as a assistant. Naruto didn't like the role of stamping  documents and explaining the details to his drunk mother figure but he took it in stride. So now he was being pinned by the eyes of his blond lover whilst Temari was clinging to his arm.

'This is so troublesome. Naruto's going to do something mean.' Shikamaru thought as he watched the blond light up a cigar and took a casual smoke. Tsunade looked like she was enjoying this and Shikamaru for once wished he was in her position.

"I'd appreciate you taking your hands off him." Naruto said in a calm voice, he exhaled the smoke slowly while his eyes formed a glare. 

"I'm his girlfriend so I think it's my right." Temari said in her sassy voice. "What jealous I'm not hanging off yours." She batted her eyes and Shikamaru groaned at her ridiculous notion.

"Sure I can see myself fucking you but your not anywhere near the level of my boyfriend who your still hanging onto. I'm a jealous man so back off." Naruto said in a dark tone, Temari paled and looked up at Shikamaru who smiled at Naruto.

"Seriously," Temari loosen her grasp on Shikamaru. She looked between them and settled her hard eyes on Naruto. "Since when, we've been talking since the Chunin exams."

"Exactly talking, no action. I like him so I took him." Naruto shrugged. Shikamaru blushed under those heavy blue eyes, he looked away and prayed Temari wouldn't be stubborn and try something stupid. 

Turns out it went on deaf ears, Temari got up in his personal space and tried to kiss him but chaos ensued. "I swear to Kami-sama Subaku I'll gut you!" The growl silenced the room, Shikamaru had his hand protecting his lips as he glared at the dusty blond haired girl.

"Temari I'm taken and quite happily so," Shikamaru said in a stern voice.

"No we were suppose to get married. Your parents love me, you love me. You aren't gay." She sputtered looking at him in shock as he blushed when Naruto slipped an arm around his neck. 

"Well if it helps, his father doesn't really like me, I don't know if I'll marry him, most likely I will and he's bisexual at best and so am I but I think I lean on the side of pansexual more." Naruto smirked at her. "Maybe you should try exploring instead of pinning for my boyfriend."

Just when everyone in the room breathed a sigh of relief Naruto grabbed her battle kimono front. "If you ever bat your lashes at my boyfriend again I won't hesitate to gut you and splatter your remains all over this village, gouge your eyes out and send your head to Suna." Temari gasped and paled.

It wasn't the words he said, she's heard those before but it was the look he gave her. Those bright blue eyes became hollow, like they were a dead person's. And the smirk on his lips was displaying fangs like he was ready to tear her throat out. She gulped and nodded. Naruto did a 360 and his regular smile and eyes came back like a light switch. She wondered for a moment if the insane look he showed her was an illusion but when she looked back at him he was glaring at her from the edge of his field of vision.

Naruto backed the raven into the wall outside the Nara compound. Shikamaru was nervous and to make things worse Naruto's hands were wandering. They were particularly wandering around his thighs. The carving has healed and now gave a pleasant shiver when touched. Shikamaru turned to mushed and clung to Naruto who did nothing but caressed it tenderly.
