Chapter 21

When Shikamaru woke up this morning he found himself on a blanket in the middle of his Clan's forest. He was confused and turned his head to see Naruto sleeping. He reached a hand out to shake the blond but realized he was using Naruto's out stretched hand as a pillow while the blond threw his other hand around his waist. He poked Naruto's cheek and the blond groaned in response.

"You brought us here." Shikamaru murmured, Naruto nodded and opened one eye.

"I did say we would go on more dates." The blond said drowsy with sleep. Shikamaru smiled at his cuteness and cuddled up into the blond's bare chest. He found the comfortable space he always went to when Naruto was around and fell asleep.

"Shikamaru got out of the hospital yesterday, he should be home now." Sakura mentioned as the group met up at their usual training ground.  

"How about we visit him and give him some recovery food." Choji said munching on his favorite chips. 

"Your form of recovery food is unhealthy stuff which is a no-no." Sakura judged pulling on one of her bangs.

"Either way he needs some company, so let's go. I heard my mom say that his father was going on a mission with her and Shino's dad. He must be bored of his mom by now." Kiba chirped as he hopped on Akamaru.

The group was on the move again with a reluctant Sasuke being tugged on by Sakura. When they got to Shikamaru's house it was answered by Yoshino who allowed them in. 

"Where's Shikamaru?" Ino asked as she noticed the lack of chakra presence.

"Well this morning when I woke to breakfast being laid out for me there was also a note. Apparently Naruto kidnapped my son for a date in the forest." Yoshino sighed with a happy smile on her face.

"He's still with that freak?" Kiba said in disgust. "He's insane." Yoshino gave them a disheartened look.

"Is that how you all see Naruto?" She asked carefully, she clutched her hand towel tightly. "I see, this is our fault."  

"No it isn't, he's just a crazy person-" 

"Don't say that about him!" Yoshino screamed at Sakura. They were stopped speechless. "You don't know anything about that boy, you don't know anything!" She was glaring at them all.

"If Shikaku and I weren't so deep in our grieving of our best friends we could've fulfilled the promise we made to his parents." She cried. 

"Do you know how happy I was when I saw Shikamaru picked Naruto to be his lover. It was like a sign, a sign that maybe just maybe things can be worked out so that we can have some family relations. Shikaku forgot everything Naruto did while he grew up, all the gruesome things Naruto's job required of him and saw the little boy that's still waiting for us to come to our senses. And even though it might've taken a decade for us to realize, we did and I won't stand here and let you disregard him for some mental health case."  She growled.

"If you want to find them then follow the chakra. But for now get out of my house." Yoshino had composed herself and shown them the door. They were speechless. 

"Everywhere we go, everyone defends Naruto." Sasuke commented. 

"Lady Tsunade, Shikamaru, Yoshino-san, Shikaku-san, even my dad defends him when I make comments about him at home." Ino said, she was just utterly confused. Yes Naruto had a horrible past and that made him the way he is now but why won't anyone treat him?

If you all say it's chalked up to mental trauma then why not treat him for it? She needed to dig a bit more to see what the hell was going on around Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze.

Shikamaru screamed into Naruto's mouth as his wrists burned in agony. The symbols of the two clans were being branded into his skin. Trust Naruto to always come prepared. He whined as he felt the blond's tongue go even further into his mouth. Naruto held the wrists tightly in an effort to speed up the process so he could start on dismantling his lover's mouth. It was erotic to watch him cry while he tongued him but every once in a while Shikamaru would bite him. 

Shikamaru couldn't breathe as his chest burned with a lack of air and screaming. He pulled back and latched onto Naruto's neck, Naruto grunted as those teeth sunk in his flesh. He pulled Shikamaru closer in his chest and bit him. Shikamaru had to whine at the unfair situation. He pulled back and tried to talk but it was useless. 

"Yes Shikamaru I had to bite you." Naruto answered his failed attempt to speak. Shikamaru gave him a glare through his tears but in Naruto's eyes he looked like a harmless puppy. "Your so cute like this,"  Naruto could sense chakra approaching but he pretended he didn't. 

'They're really getting on my last nerve.' Naruto thought as he felt his second chakra spike in warning. The ones approaching stilled a bit before continuing closer. Naruto rolled his eyes and kissed Shikamaru. His wrists were done now and he slung them over the blond's shoulders. They pulled back and Naruto dried his tears.

"How are you feeling?" He asked as he soothed his wrists with healing cream. Shikamaru hissed as he looked at the two simple designs while Naruto packed up. Just when he finished they could hear voices coming there way. Naruto rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"I swear to God it feels like I'm dating them and not you." Naruto said turning his back to Konoha 12. Shikamaru wanted to scream. 

"What is up with you guys." Shikamaru asked as he fought the urge to growl. 

"We were worried about you and then we found out that your still dating Naruto." Ino said in a scolding tone, the rest were occupied with Naruto's back which was filled with scars. It made them curious on how he got them. "I thought I told you-"

"That's just it with you people." Naruto chuckled darkly, he turned to them and placed his hands in his jogger pockets. "You keep telling him what to do, like he's some baby. You do realize he has the highest IQ than all of you combined, right? If he's so blind to the apparent danger what makes you the ones able to see it." 

Naruto took Shikamaru and pulled him away from them. "I really don't like any of you, especially the pale blond bitch who keeps feeding you garbage. For fuck sake's your father has been in my mind before, if I was really a danger to Shikamaru or anyone else do you think I would still have shinobi status?" 

"Listen buddy just keep away from Shikamaru-" Kiba had grabbed Naruto's shoulder and paid the price. Since Sasuke was the next one closest to them Naruto stole his katana blade and ran Kiba through.

It took a moment to register but when Kiba coughed up blood Naruto pulled it out in one fluid motion. The Inuzuka choked on his own blood and crumbled into a heap. Akamaru lunged at Naruto but the blond punched the dog in the jaw and heard a bone snap. "I think I've been too lenient with you this last week. I was trying to be nice to my boyfriend's friends but you cross the line when you touch me." 

Sakura and Ino were hovering over Kiba healing him. Naruto handed Sasuke back his blade and the Uchiha took it with a look of respect. "Don't look at me like that Uchiha." 

"If I'm to be honest, I don't care about your relationship with Shikamaru. I've been dragged everywhere due to them." Sasuke said cleaning the blade.

"Shikamaru is this someone you really want to be with." Choji asked as he supported Akamaru who was whining loudly.

"If you hadn't provoked him then this wouldn't have happened." Shikamaru said looking over Kiba concerned. Naruto folded the blanket and began walking away. 

"I'm going back to have tea with Aunt Yoshino." Naruto did that on purpose. To let them know that he was the one with the advantage. "Also the tolerant Naruto just went out the window, just try me. Please try me, the next one who does ends up dead."
