Chapter 35

Shikamaru once told Naruto that he wasn't romantic but the Uzumaki-Namikaze had moments where he could be romantic and this was one. It was Christmas Eve and he was being picked up at his home by Naruto when the snow was slowly layering itself over the village. It had begun last night and was now a foot deep. Naruto was dressed up in full black winter wear with the except of a red scarf that covered his mouth and nose. Shikamaru was in Nara green with a white scarf. Underneath he felt the weight of the necklace Naruto gave him. He hadn't worn it often in fear of losing it when out on a mission that could be said with the ring he was wearing along with it. 

"Come on we're going on a date." Naruto muffled voice called as he put his hand forward for the Nara's hand. Shikamaru gave him and he found himself in a flash step of some sorts. When he blinked he was on a normally grassy hill top that was now blanketed by snow. Naruto pulled  him forward and he could make out a golden barrier dome over what seems to be a picnic. The placed he had picked over saw the entire village which was illuminated in Christmas fairy lights. 

"What is this?" He asked as Naruto made an opening in the dome for him to step inside. Naruto followed inside and closed it. Immediately Shikamaru was engulfed in warmth. It seems a heating seal was written in the dome seal as well. When he looked up he could see the snow falling on the dome. He was getting the image of those happy figures you see in snow globes. That must have not been Naruto's aim but he certainly loved it. 

"Well I wanted to be outside with you but knowing you and your complaints about the cold I decided on this." Naruto was stripping out of his winter wear which left him in his base clothes of black pants and a long sleeve that was white. He sat on the blanket with his legs open and gestured for Shikamaru to get between them. Shikamaru hurriedly stripped and leaned on his chest as big arms wrapped around him. 

It was a dream, to watch the fairy lights in their own snow globe away from everyone. "I love it Naruto." 

"Glad you do because I brought you out here for something important." Naruto nuzzled his cheek with a small smile that slightly turned to a frown. "Merry Christmas baby shadow." He smiled as he saw the tips of his ears turn red, he kissed it with a loving expression. His heart and mind were already made up and with them working together in tangent he leaned closer to his ear and whispered something. 

Shikamaru's eyes lit up, then swelled with tears before he covered his mouth letting them fall. The rush of euphoria was overwhelming and he turned to kiss him which took Naruto by shock. They fell back on the blanket and Naruto for once had his mouth used for Shikamaru's pleasure. When he pulled back he could see the adorable smile he was wearing despite the sensual kiss he just received. "If I had known it would've made you kiss me like that I would've said it sooner."

"Don't get used to it, I'm still a lazy bastard who wants you to do all the work." He smiled before his eyes watered again. " I honestly don't know how your making me feel this way."

"Because you love me and now I can return that full force." Naruto smiled tenderly as he cupped his cheek and pulled him down into a gentle kiss. Shikamaru wanted to savor this moment, after today Naruto would be anything but gentle when it comes to their relationship. 

"Say it again, please let me hear it again."

"No, if I say it too much you'll become used to it and it'll lose it's effect." He gave a slight pout which was madly sweet looking, he looked innocent in that moment but it was shattered when he gave a lecherous smirk. "If I say it again can I fuck you here."

"Don't tell me you brought lube in that basket." He sighed losing his lovestruck look. "Your a mood killer."

Naruto cackled as he turned them on their side. His arms naturally wrapped around him and Shikamaru wrapped his around his neck. "Well there is no lube." He leaned into his ear and dropped his voice. "I would fucked you with my tongue and split you open for the world to see."

Shikamaru shivered as he smacked the blond upside the head. His face was complete crimson as he thought about it. He was dating a fucking freaky pervert! Shikamaru felt his heart pound in his chest as Naruto locked him in a dead stare as he told him those special words. He smiled and pulled the blond back to connect with him. "I love you too Naruto." He murmured against his lips.

"I know idiot that's why I love you." Shikamaru couldn't keep his laugh down but it quickly died when a moan fell through. "Shika-chan your really cute when you blush." 

"B-Bastard where is this coming from." 

"I'm only being honest, I've always wanted to snap your pretty little neck in bed." He had moved from his lips to line his exposed neck with kisses. He licked the pale area before chomping down. "No this is embarrassing." Shikamaru shoved his face away but it didn't work, his boyfriend was a ton of bricks. 

"If it feels that good then I might consider edging you." Naruto pulled his hand off his face before kissing it in a gentleman fashion. 

"There you go again making me feel weird." Shikamaru snatched his hand back and blushed looking away. Naruto smiled and tucked him back into his pants and cleaned his hand with his kerchief. 

"It's my job, unlike you I can see how twisted you'll become." Shikamaru scoffed at the statement but accepted the cuddling. They laid pressed together for a long time and when Shikamaru was going to request that he say it again he got a view that made him fall in love right over again. 

Naruto looked perfectly content while he slept, his deep breaths coupled with the slight smile on his face. He looked stunning and Shikamaru wondered what this male saw in him. Though he quickly stopped that train of thought. Now was not the time for those thoughts. His lover returned his feelings! 

"Best Christmas gift ever." He said as he fell asleep in his strong embrace.
