Chapter 8

[ Naruto POV ]

I woke up with a burning sensation coming from my shoulder. I took my shirt off and looked at my ANBU tattoo. I grabbed my weapon pouch and took out an orange scroll. I opened the scroll and infused my chakra in it releasing the items that I kept in it. The scroll kept my ANBU uniform, fox mask, and weapons. I looked at Sasuke to make sure he was asleep and changed into uniform. I made a shadow clone and tossed him the clothes I was wearing. I nodded to him,
"You know what to do"
He nodded back to me. I took a second look around and my clone waved at me. I jumped out the window leaving everything there to my clone. I was running as fast as I could to get back to the village.
"Damn old man's a slave driver"
"Of course he is"
"Now I have to complete three missions at once"

[ Sasuke POV ]

I woke up, stood up, and folded my futon. I looked at Naruto to see him still asleep under the blanket he was using. I got ready and went down stairs to the dining table. Sakura ran up to me and grabbed my arm.
"Good morning, Saskue-kun"
I kept walking and sat down at the table and Sakura sat right next to me. Kakashi-sensei was already sitting at the table reading his 'Special books'.
"Saskue is Naruto up yet"
"No"
Breakfast was severed and placed in front of us. I started eating and Kakashi-sensei got up.
"I'll go wake him up"

[ Kakashi POV ]

It's not like captain to sleep in like this. I walked up the stairs and knocked on the door to the room Naruto was staying in.
"Captain are you awake"
He didn't answer so I opened the door.
"Captain"
I saw captain standing next to the window. He looked like he's looking for something outside.
"Is there something the matter, Captain"
He turned to look at me with a blank look on his face.
"Your captain is out there right now"
He turned his head and pointed to the window meaning the captain is outside. What did he mean by the captain being outside?
"He's on another mission"
Another mission? When I looked back at him he was looking out the window again. He must be looking for the real captain to come back. I wonder why the captain went attended the academy in the first place. Maybe I should ask him but if he's on a mission it's a secret.
"I need to to do something for me Kakashi"
I looked at him and he was still looking out the window.
"I need you to look out for Saskue until the real me comes back"
Is his mission to look after Saskue? It must be his mission to protect the last heir to the Uchiha clan. If the leaf loses the Uchiha clan we would lose one of our most important and powerful clans in the leaf.
"I understand captain"
"Are you sure I'm not putting more of a load on you"
"Everything will be fine but, if I could ask one question, Captain"
"What"
"Why don't you go there yourself"
"Even though I'm the captain of the ANBU Black Opps, I'm still a kid. I can go a few days without sleeping but since I sleep when I'm not going on  missions, not sleeping most of the time takes a toll on my body"
I've always seen captain sleeping during important meetings.
"Your going to stay here and sleep then"
He nodded,
"After a few hours I'll go disappear and give all of the energy I've saved to the real me"
"I see, I'll leave you be"
"Thank you Kakashi. I appreciate this"
He bowed to me and stood back up a few seconds later. I gave him a closed eye smile in reply to his bow.
"You have a lot of stuff on your plate and you've saved me in other missions many times. This means nothing compared to everything you've done to me so you don't have to bow to me"
"I will forever be in your debt for this, Kakashi"
I waved one of my hands in front of my face and had a nervous laugh. I watched as the captain's clone sat down against the wall and fell asleep. I quietly walked out of the room and walked back to the dining table. I told the team that Naruto was going to stay here because he wasn't feeling well today.

[ Sasuke POV ]

We watch the builders compete the bridge and the bridge builders quit. After a few hours there was fog filling the air. In the middle of all the fog there were two figures that were shaped like a humans. When the fog settled I saw the boy wearing the Hidden Mist ANBU mask that 'killed' Zabuza the last time we saw him and Zabuza himself. I was itching for a fight and Kakashi-sensei could tell.
"He's all yours Sasuke"
He'll be a small stepping stone so I can get stronger to defeat Itachi.
