Chapter 19

[ Naruto POV ]

I opened my eyes and looked around. Looks like in in a small unstable shack. I got up and walked outside. I walked around the shack and looked around.
"Nothing but forest"
'You can always try running'
"If I did that I would become a rogue ninja"
I sighed and walked back into shack.

"Kurama~"
Kurama was outside of my seal and was trying sleeping next to me.
"What Kit"
"I'm going to sleep for a while"
"I thought you'd be asleep by know"
"Your not big enough for me to sleep and protect me so get bigger for me"
"You want me to destroy your only shelter"
"What do I need the shelter for when I have you"
Kurama sighed,
"That's very touching but do you remember when I told you that you were absorbing my chakra"
I nodded,
"I remember"
"And my body is my chakra"
"I'll just make sure you keep five tails worth"
"You can't even control your current tails how are you going to control five more"
"I'm going to do that while I'm sleeping"
Kurama sighed and got bigger like I had asked. He destroyed the small shack. I got up and started walking to Kurama. I laid down on Kurama's back like I do all the time and fell asleep.

[ Kurama POV ]

He's been asleep for a few days. I should find something for him to eat when he wakes up. I made two transformed clones to search for food. I sighed and waited for the clones to come back with food.

The clones came back with both meat, plants, and someone following them. The clones started making the food and it attracted people and animals. I started shaking Kit awake,
"Time to get up"
Kit's eyes started opening and his stomach growled at the smell of food.
"Is there food Kurama"
"Yeah"
Kit got up and saw the food being cooked to his right. One of the clones handed Kit the food and he took it lazily.

While Kit was eating his food another fox approached him. He looked at true fox and placed his food on the ground.
"You can have the rest"
He walked back to me and laid down again. I placed my tails over Kit and watched him fall asleep again. I let my clones disused watched the fox eat Kit's left overs. I guess I have to wait until the person shows themself.

They finally decided they to make a move. I made five human shaped clones. One picked up the little fox and placed it besides Kit. The fox tried getting away but Kit grabbed it and pulled it close like a stuffed animal. I had the clones surround us. The first attack was made with shiriken andkuni knives. My clones block them all. On the next attack the attackers were aiming at Kit. Some of the Kunihiro got though my clones defenses so I had to put one of my tails in front of Kit wars a shielded.

After few short weapon exchanges the attackers emerged from the trees. I created five human shaped clones. One of the clones picked up the little fox and placed it next to Kit. Before the fox could get away Kit grabbed onto it. I had my clones around us waiting for an attack.

The first few attacks involved shiriken, kuni knives, and paper bombs. My clones deflected the attack but next they started targeting Kit. My clones deflected those attacks to but a few paper bombs got though. I caught them with my tail and threw them before they detonated.

After the multiple failed attacks the attackers showed themselves. We were surrounded by kids, about Kit's age or a little older. One of the kids started forming hand signs. I transformed into a human and picked up Kit bridal style while he was still holding the small fox. I broke though the wall of kids and started running though trees.

I've been running for a while and those kids are still on my tails. Kit started waking up. He made hand signs of his own,
"Hidden mist jutsu"
Mist started filling the air hiding our tracks from our pursuers.

I stopped moving and looked around. I couldn't locate our pursuers because the fog Kit created was made from his chakra. I looked down at him,
"Kit I need you to get up"
He started waking up,
"What now Kurama"
"Where are those kids"
"They're coming at you from all directions"
"They must have a tracker on us"
I saw Kit look at the small fox he was holding,
"It's you, isn't it"
The fox whimpered in response. Kit sighed,
"Not like it matters anymore"
I jumped to the ground and to let Kit set the fox on the ground. When the fox got put on the ground it started scratching at my leg.
"It's not letting us leave"
Kit got out of my arms and looked at the fox.
"Do you want to come with us that badly"
The fox whimpered again and Kit nodded his head. He picked up the fox again and took the tracer off. Then Kit ran some of his chakra though the fox and set him down again.
"If you can escape those people and find us I'll let you stay"
We disappeared leaving the fox alone and getting away from our pursuers.

[ Third Person POV ]

"Hidden Mist jutsu"
Naruto was laying on Kurama's side again getting ready to go back to sleep.
"Are you sure it was wise to leave that young fox like that"
Naruto yawned,
"He'll be fine"
Kurama started laying his tails on Naruto,
"What makes you so sure"
"I gave him some of your chakra"
Kurama sighed,
"So your handing out my chakra like candy now"
"No"
Kurama had laid his tails to cover Naruto was a blanket. In less than a minute Naruto had fell back into a peaceful sleep.

An old man covered in bandages was sitting in front of a desk talking to one of the Root Anbu Black Opps.
"Have you seen anything"
"It seems that the Nine Tails is protecting Uzumaki from any danger. The only contact he has had is with a small fox that now retains some of the Nine Tails chakra"
"I see"
Than the man in the chair dismissed the masked person and started thinking. He wanted to see the Uzumaki's full power so he had to threaten Naruto with something.

The members of the Hidden Leaf were dressed in black attending a funeral for their Third Hokage. The person that knew his best, Naruto Uzumaki, was not able to attend due to confidential reasons. There were whispers going around the crowd mentioning the absence of the blonde boy.
"That demon boy couldn't even attend the funeral of the Third Hokage"
"Such nonsense"
"Lord Third died because of that demon"
"We should have chased him out of the village years ago"
There was little morning of the Third Hokage, Satutobi Hiruzen. The only thing that filled the crowed was rage against the Jinchuriki.

Kakashi who had been standing at the K.I.A Stone since dawn staring at the names of his two friends. He hadn't attended the Hokage's funeral because he had been standing there. That gravestone was the hole reason Kakashi was always late to training or missions. His missed his friends dearly and now that the Hokage has passed away he had been given the duty of protecting the bell that his captain left behind when he disappeared. His presious captain was gone, the Hokage was gone, and his teammates have been gone for years. Kakashi's heart was filled to the brim with sadness but the tears wouldn't flow down his face like they did that night.

Jiraiya who's teacher had just died and his demon god child was taken away. He was given the propersition become the Hokage but declined. Now he had to search for his old teammate, Senju Tsunade, to become the Fifth Hokage. The man was in grief but covered it by going out to drink.

Every person in the Hidden Leaf Village was in grief. All of them were going though pain. Ninja don't show their emotions because they are a weakness. Everyone had to cope with their losses without showing any negative emotions.
