Chapter 12

[ Naruto POV ]

I'm pissed. How could I make something like this happen?

An hour before
This was my fourth day sleeping the day away. It got interrupted by a certain pink haired banshee.
"Hey Naruto we wanted to train to prepare for the Chunini Exam"
I put a pillow over my head to block out all of the noise coming from the outside. I heard Sasuke outside of my door telling Sakura that I was definitely in my apartment. Sakura kept telling to me to open the door but I kept ignoring her. I heard her say something about leaving but Sasuke said that they should break down the door. I sat up quickly to the comment and stared at the door. When they didn't make any other sounds I decided that they were going to leave.
"I guess we should break the door down"
I got out of the bed and slammed the door open.
"What hell do you want so early in the day"
I felt my killing intent aiming for them to tell them to go away. There was only one person the I wouldn't threaten when I woke up and that was Itachi. They were stunned by that but their attention was pointed at the top of my head. Sakura gave me a crooked smile,
"Can we come in"

Sakura looked around the inside of many apartment surprised. I made them tea and sat with them at the small table.
"What do you want"
"We wanted to train together-"
"No"
I shot her down as soon as I heard the words train together.
"Naruto-"
"Finish your tea and get out"
I got up, walked to my bed, and sat on my bed. I could feel their eyes on me.
"What now"
"It's just you've got ears and a tail"
"I was messing around with my transformation jutsu yesterday and ended up sleeping with it"
You've got to be joking. I swear I didn't have ears and tails yesterday so how did they show up.
'Kurama do you know anything about this'
'Your new features you mean'
'That's what I mean'
'It looks like you are absorbing my chakra which means your absorbing me since I am chakra'
'You mean to tell me that I'm absorbing your chakra and I'm going to have more fox features'
'That's right'
'If I happen to absorb everything what would happen to you'
'I feeling touched that you actually care for me'
I started getting irritated,
'I'll be there it's just that my physical form would be gone'
'Oh'
Sakura and Sasuke were still sitting in my apartment.
"I won't be training with you so get out"
"We need to build our teamwork so we'll be staying until you agree to train with us"
Shouldn't Sakura only care about Sasuke and why is Sasuke just sitting there. Tell her to leave my house Sasuke, she'll listen to you. I really want to go back to sleep but I don't feel comfortable with they looking around my apartment. They might find something important.
"I've been wanting to ask you something Naruto"
"What"
"Your apartment was hidden in plain sight. I know you can't preform high rank jutsu like that and I want to know who did"
So that's what Sasuke was there for. Sakura couldn't find my apartment but Sasuke could because he had been here before.
"I didn't know that"
I wanted them to leave as soon as possible so I could have my sleeping time back.
"It's seems like the jutsu is coming from that bell"
She was pointing on the bell I had placed on my night stand. I knew where it was coming from but how did Sakura figure it out. She was hiding more things than I thought. I saw Sakura got up and started waking towards the bell. She reached out to touch the bell but I grabbed it before she could.
"You shouldn't touch things that aren't yours"
I looked down at the bell making sure I didn't damage it in any way. I sighed and smiled down at the bell conferring it wasn't broken.
"I'm sorry"
I looked up at Sakura,
"It's alright"
"There's one more thing..."
Sasuke was listening intently to our conversation but wasn't showing it.
"...the chakra coming from the bell isn't one from the village"
Just how sensitive is the banshee to chakra. With these words Sasuke's got up and stood next to Sakura wanting to listen to the conversation clearly.
"Who does the chakra belong to"
"Someone very dear to me"
At this point Sasuke entered their conversation,
"What's this persons name"
I was starting to be defensive. I can't mention anything about Itachi because that would start 102 questions or more. I didn't know anyone who could constantly give chakra to the bell and not be in the village. I had to hide the truth until Sasuke was ready.
"That is none of your business"
Sasuke grabbed was stubborn and stood there until I gave him the answer he was looking for. I clutched the bell in my hand.
"Sasuke I think you should let it go"
Please listen to Sakura.
"I'm not leaving until he gives me an answer"
I closed my eyes and sighed,
'I need your help Itachi'
Itachi wasn't going to hear me so why am I trying. He was so far away so he can't help me with this problem I'm facing.
'Naruto'
'Itachi'
It was Itachi talking to me. This really was Itachi's voice.
'Sasuke's backed me into a corner'
'Okay Naruto tell me what happened'
I told him how Sakura and Sasuke made me open my door so they would break it down. I told him about what Sakura said about training and how Sasuke backed him into a corner because of the bell.
'Calm down Naru, there's a simple solution to this problem'
'What'
'Train with them'
'There's no way I could do that'
'So you'll spill my secret instead'
'I would never do something like that'
'That's the only way'
I sighed,
'Okay'
'Good'
I could feel Itachi's gentle smile though his voice. I put a smile on my face and looked up at Sakura and Sasuke.
"I'll train with you okay. Then you'll drop the bell thing"
I knew that Sasuke was suspicious but all I needed was to steer him away from the bell for a little while. There might be a chance that he'll forget about it during the training.

Present Time
I know Itachi told me this was the only way to stop Sasuke's questioning but I hate training when the sun is still up because people could see you. We were thinking about some new formations we could use and I noticed that every so often Sasuke would looked at me. I can't do it anymore.
'Kurama take over'
'Kit toy have to get along with your team'
'Kurama I'm tired and want to sleep'
'You slept for an entire day'
'Everyone has different sleep schedules'
'Your right but yours needs to change'
'My sleeping schedule is never going to change'
I fell to the ground exhausted this has never happened before. I haven't been sleeping like I used to because of this mission and I feel like I'm tired all the time. That was one of the reasons that mission during the time I was supposed to be in the Land of Waves took to long. When I finished my mission I had decided to take a little nap in the Hokage's office.
"Naruto is everything okay"
"I've haven't been getting enough sleep lately that's all"
"Maybe we should call it a day"
"Sounds like a plan"
"Sasuke do you think you could help Naruto get home"
I stood up,
"I think I can manage Sakura don't be worried"
"Okay"
I started walking home a little weird and almost fell. Sasuke caught me,
"Hn"
I can't handle today at all.

Sasuke walked me to my front door and I told him that I can make it inside myself but he insisted to come on to make sure everything would be fine. I summoned Kurama and threw him in front of Sasuke.
"It's time for you to play 102 questions"
I walked to the bathroom to change out of the bright orange jumpsuit. I've been thinking, maybe I could stop wearing that thing and take of the mask. Everything should be fine as long as no one found out about my second life. I walked out of the bathroom, placed the jumpsuit on the floor signaling that I was going to burn it, and laid down on the bed.
"What does this fox have to do with anything"
"I am the great nine tails"
"Hn"
"Kurama has all of the information and more that I have to you have to pry it out of his with 102 questions. Remember that he might not answer all of your questions"
"Why do I have to do this"
"Because I'm tired, make sure to keep it down and don't touch the bell"
After that I fell asleep comfortably on the bed.

[ Sasuke POV ]

I've got to get all of the information I can out of this fox. Naruto said that he wouldn't answer all of my questions so the ones that are off limits I'll have to work around them.
"Question One"
"Why is the bell important"
"It was given to him by his protector"
His protector?
"Why does he need a protector"
"To keep him and the adults separated"
"Who was it"
"Question four"

Everything I want to know can't be answered. The bell doesn't look years old so,
"When was the last time Itachi was in the village"
"Four days ago"
"What did he do in the village"
"He looked around the Uchiha compound than came to this apartment to clean"
"Why is Itachi so important to Naruto"
"Itachi was the first human not to push Naruto away"

[ Naruto POV ]

I couldn't sleep while Sasuke was playing 102 questions with Kurama. I listened to every question asked and a question of my own came to mind.
'Hey Kurama, got time to answer one of my questions'
'What is it'
'How long would it take for me to absorb all of your chakra'
"By the end of the Chunini Exam"
'I'll let you wander around when your done answering questions until I'm ready to get up'
'Okay'
'While your outside burn that orange jumpsuit you hate so much'
'Finally'
