Deckerstar Oneshots: Book Two

I Will Not Be Answering Text Messages

It had been a long day, despite it only being noon. Chloe had come to a block in the case and had been going over the file again and again for the last hour or so. She got frustrated and slammed the case file.

"Still nothing?"

Chloe looked at her partner and cracked a smile.

"I've been staring at this dammed file for ever and still nothing."
"Does Miss Lopez have anything?"
"I dont know. She's still going over it with her contacts, so we should hopefully have something soon. I just want to finish this case so we can go home. "
"Bored, Detective?"
"Tense more like it."
"Mm, you need a stress reliever?"

Chloe looked at Lucifer who winked at her.

"Uh, Lucifer. We're at work."
"That hasn't stopped you in the past."
"Just- let's hope Ella found something."

They looked over at Ella who was in her lab on the phone. She looked pensive but within two seconds it changed to a smile followed by a little jump. She hung up and ran out to Chloe and Lucifer.

"Okay we got something. Cameron's brother was actually planning on handling the deal himself, but Cameron begged him to let him deal with it."
"Great. Text me the address. Come on Lucifer let's go."

They got up to go talk to him before Ella stopped the two.

"Actually he's on a flight and won't be landing until 3:30."
"Oh, okay. Is there anyone else we could talk to?"
"Mm maybe Cameron's manager again, but it might take awhile for me to contact him."
"Right, what does that mean Detective?"
"That means, we have the next few hours free."

Chloe look Lucifer in the eyes and bit her bottom lip. He looked confused, but only for a second be for it registered in his head what she as suggesting.

"Oh. Right, so are we going to your house or mine?"

Chloe grabbed his hand and leaned in to his body.

"I'll meet you at the corvette?"
"Right."

They both had said their last words quietly. Lucifer pulled away to head towards the precinct's garage. After he had left Ella ran up to Chloe.

"Decker!!"

Ella punched Chloe's arm.

"Ow."
"What was that?"
"I don't know what you're talking about."

Chloe turned to leave before remembering something.

"Oh if something pops up, call me, I will
not be answering text messages."

Ella's mouth dropped and followed by a laughed. Chloe waved before also heading towards the parking garage. Ella then turned and went back to work.

This chapter is super late today, I'm sorry. Just thought I'd let you know that there's 2 chapters left in Part A of this book. After that I'll be updating it still, but really slowly. Once season 5B comes out it'll speed up again. So, grammar, spelling, and ideas!!! Bye!!!
