****Seven POV****

I walked through the same crowded hallways trying to navigate my way to my next class. Suddenly a tall blonde figure brushed past me. He turned his head, revealing his big brown eyes. Monroe's brother.

"Seven!" He smiled flashing his pearly whites at me. He looked so different than Monroe yet they favored eachother in the smallest ways, like their smile and nose. but the blonde hair and brown eyes is the exact opposite of Monroe.

"Hey." I smiled realizing I don't know his name.

"We haven't met before, but I'm Eli. I'm Monroe's brother." He held out his hand to shake mine.

"It's nice to finally know your name." I smiled.

"Our other brother is named Sterling, and our absolute joy of a sister, is Lacey." He said sarcastically making me laugh. He walked beside me and still towered over me even though he wasn't as tall as Monroe.

"I see." I smiled.

"My big brother is crazy about you. Don't tell him I said that because he would kill me." He laughed. "Oh hey mike!" He yelled waving at some guy across the hall. His mind was easily distracted like a child, but it fit him. His personality is so different from both Monroe and lacey. At least Monroe is humorous though.

"I won't say anything. You have my word." I laughed.

"Awesome. I hope you'll come by the house soon. My mom is raving about meeting you."

My heart warmed up. It's always a dream to have your man's parents show efforts to meet you. Eli didn't say anything about their dad, but it's a start.

"I hope I'll get to meet her too." I made it to my 6th hour class and Eli stopped with me.

"It was a pleasure to finally meet you seven." He flashed his pearly whites one more time before continuing down the hallway. I let out a sigh of relief. Hopefully I made a good impression.

I walked into my 6th hour and sat in my usual seat. I was used to the stares and whispers by now it didn't even phase me.

Lunch time came around and Monroe wasn't in the cafeteria yet. I started to walk by Rachel when Allison coughed loudly making her two goons laugh.

I rolled my eyes ignoring her and suddenly Monroe was beside me directly in front of them.

"Hey baby." He smiled making my heart melt. He then placed his arm over my shoulder and gave Allison a glare. I wish I could've seen her face, but I'd rather be crushed up against his body anyway.

We started walking towards his family's table that was empty and he sat down. I froze a little bit.

"You want me to sit with your siblings?" I asked fearing how lacey would react.

"Uh duh. Sit." He smirked.

I hesitantly sat down then saw sterling and Eli rough housing outside before stumbling into the cafeteria. Sterling ruffled up Eli's hair making him growl.

"Well if it isn't the myth and the legend." Sterling said staring at me while sitting in the seat across from me. He was shorter than both Eli and Monroe but he is still taller than me. He was also extremely stocky. His build is nice too. His eyes are grey just like Monroe's but they're a darker grey.

I laughed,"it seems to be so."

"I met seven-eleven earlier, ha-ha." Eli boasted.

"Is that so?" Monroe asked looking at me.

"Yes we're great friends." I smirked back.

"Awe seven. I'm so glad you feel the same." Eli poked his bottom lip out.

"You act like a puppy." Monroe teased.

"More like a mutt." Sterling teased back causing them both to laugh.

Suddenly Lacey walked up to us and rolled her eyes at Monroe. I began to twist the ring on my finger thinking about how I called her a bitch two weeks ago. When I was looking down I noticed my sapphire pendant turning red again. My heart sank and I quickly put my hand over it so nobody else could see. It happened as soon as Lacey sat down.

"Oh lacey, your presence was so missed." Sterling sighed.

"Shut up." She spat.

"Sissy, dont be that way," Eli hugged her making her flinch.

"Don't baby her, she's a grown ass woman." Sterling said.

"Old, ass woman." Monroe corrected smiling. Lacey suddenly glared at him. If looks could kill, we'd all be dead as hell.

"So Seven," Sterling coughed trying to shift the tense energy. "When are you going to come by the house to meet the rest of the family?"

I could feel Lacey burning a hole through me.

"Um, I don't know I don't like to invite myself places." I answered twisting the ring on my finger nervously. Monroe must have noticed because he placed his hand on top of mine.

"Um. this is us inviting you silly." Eli smiled. Lacey's negative energy was radiating as if she was a lion getting ready to pounce and tear my head off at any second.

I looked up at Monroe who was smiling, "If you're ready?"

Looking at him distracted me from Lacey's hatred. Anytime I look at him, everything and everyone else becomes a blur.

"Yeah, I'll come."

"Awesome!" Sterling smiled.

"Is this weekend good?" Monroe asked.

I nodded my head. The bell rang and we all got up. Monroe walked me out of the double doors and kissed my forehead.

"So I'll pick you up after 7th hour, and then I'll let you go home and change before we leave this evening."

The witches had slipped my mind all day until lacey sat down setting my pendant off. I could feel my stomach tense up, but at the same time I was anxious for answers.

"Monroe." I called to him as he was walking away. He turned around concerned.

"My pendant changed colors when Lacey sat down." I said fearing his reaction.

"What?" He asked confused.

"My pendant-"

"No I heard you I just- what could they be trying to tell you about my sister?" He ran a hand through his hair.

"I don't know Monroe, I know she doesn't like me but I don't feel like she's a danger to me" I said quietly.

"Every vampire is a danger to you Seven. My family would never hurt you though." He placed his hand on my chin and pressed a short kiss on my lips. "We'll figure this out tonight."

I sighed watching him walk away. I really hope what these witches had to say wouldn't be anything to tear this family apart, but my gut feeling told me otherwise.
