Monroe POV****

I dropped Seven off at her Aunt's once we got back to the car. I really hope she'll be able to sleep okay tonight considering everything she has learned today. Even I am worried, and all I know to do is go home and talk to my family to try and make more sense of this.

All I want to do is protect Seven, and it seems like everything is starting to get more difficult. She is destined to fulfill this purpose that is bigger than me, and I know my grandmother wouldn't have chosen her if she was incapable, but I feared for Seven. I don't fear much in this life, as I've seen more than id like to share, but now that I've met my mate, I will live everyday of this life fearing losing her.

I pulled into the driveway and saw the house windows lit up. There are six cards in the driveway so every one is home.

As I walked in the door My step mother was on the couch sipping a glass of red wine. Her bright brown eyes looked up at me as she smiled, "Monroe, i'm so glad you are home, I have been so worried about you, please tell me what the witches said." She begged.

I had told my step mother everything before I even considered bringing Seven. She thought it was a scary idea at first but she agreed Seven needed to hear the message her ancestors wanted her to hear qabout the people she's around, but it is so much more than that.

"I need to call a house meeting, it is important." I said loudly.

My father flashed quickly onto the sofa with a glass of bourbon. "What does this meeting consist of? Is the girl in danger?" He asked me.

"I'll explain it all, ELIJAH, STERLING, LACEY!" I yelled. They really lacked a sense of urgency.

"Hello big brother," Elijah smiled brightly jumping over the stair rail.

"Not in the house!" My step mother whined.

"This better be good, I was in the middle of a Black Opps match." Sterling groaned. Lacey slowly traveled down the stairs and sat down on the edge of the recliner.

"So as some of you know, I took Seven to see the witches up on the mountain." I explained. Lacey sighed loudly at the sound of Seven's name.

My dad rolled his eyes, "Go on son."

"The pendant sapphire necklace I gave Seven to protect her from being compelled, started to glow red when she came around, specific people." I continued. My father furrowed his brows trying to piece things together. My step mom gasped slightly.

"What are her ancestors trying to tell her?" She asked.

"Ancestors? Is she a witch?" Sterling asked confused.

"No, but she is of Haitian witch bloodline. We wanted to know what her ancestors were trying to tell her or warn her of, and it wasn't just her ancestors. It was mine." I looked around as everyone's eyes grew wide. Lacey even was taken off guard, and squinted her eyes studying me.

"What would your ancestors want with a human of witch bloodline?" My father asked.

"She is my mate, and Bereneice brought us together, but that isn't all-"

"LUCKY!" Eli yelled. "I want to find my mate."

"If you go to the nearest psychiatric ward im sure you will find her." Sterling sighed.

"Enough." My father called. "Berenice brought you two together?" I saw my fathers eyes grow soft as he thought of her. My step mother put her hand on his shoulder. My father new my great grandmother long before he knew my mother. She told him his mate was her granddaughter. He took boats to visit Egypt since my mother was born. When my mother was of age and migrated to New York my dad understood everything. My mother was his life line and there isn't a day that goes by that he does not think of her. My step mother isn't his mate, but im glad she is here for him, he loves her of course, but will never feel the same for her as he did my mother, and Evelyn knows that. Evelyn lost her mate around the same time my mom disappeared. The pain her and my father share, brought them together.

"Yes, but she also said Seven will be the one to mend the relationship between Vampires and Werewolves."

Everyone gasped. "This is going to get incredibly dangerous." my step mother said putting a hand to her lips and looking to my father. He placed his arm around her gently.

"And what will the Elites think of this arrangement?" Lacey asked.

"I haven't thought about much yet, but what I do know is that she needs us. She is my mate and she will not die trying to fix our rivalry." I said sternly. My father nodded his head.

Lacey groaned, "Great let's help the human then."

"Lacey, she is Monroe's mate. Grow to love her or lose your brother." Evelyn snapped. Lacey folded her arms and sank in her seat.

"We need to meet her immediately." My father said.

"What stops the Elites from just killing her?" Sterling asked concerned.

"The elites do not like blood on their hands, unless it is deemed necessary, especially not the blood of someone chosen by great and powerful people, such as Monroe's grandmother Berenice. They also will not want to risk a witch and vampire rivalry resurfacing, due to a lot of bad blood and closets full of skulls on both sides, that could lead to a rebellion regardless. However, Seven is in danger when it comes to other vampires and wolves finding out about this. Nobody outside of this room is to speak a word. Understand?" My father asked sternly. Everyone nodded their heads in agreement.

"When can we meet Seven?" Evelyn asked standing up beside my father.

"This weekend." I answered.

"Very well. Until then none of you speak of this." He said before grabbing his lonely glass of burbon he left on the coffee table, and returned to his study.

Lacey got up and went to her room. Evelyn, Sterling, and Eli sat on the furniture around me.

"I am so happy that you found your mate, Monroe. I know all of this is scary, but I promise we will protect her." Evelyn said putting her hand on my shoulder, while the other held her wine glass.

"Thank you mom." I smiled.

"We really like Seven, we will also agree to protect her at all costs now that she is our sister." Eli smiled gesturing towards him and Sterling, who nodded in agreement. I smiled at him and nodded my head.
