"Lacey." Monroe's father said getting off the floor and looking over to her. "Tell me everything you know right now." He demanded.

She bit her lip looking at me with pleading eyes," I never knew it was Seven's dad... I didn't know Seven had any relation at all, he said it was business and that he owed him money, I-I'm so sorry." She said. This was the first time I had ever seen her sincere.

"He had to have known he was Seven's father." Evelyn said, "This is no coincidence."

"Leonardo has wanted to bring an end to this clan for a long time, before Lacey." Esther said.

"What? Why?" Monroe's father asked. "He wants your position as an Elite, and he disapproves of Seven's motives to heal the relationship between wolves and vampires. Harming Seven's dad was a warning to her and you all, and being with Lacey gives him that access to take over your authority." She went on.

Lacey's jaw dropped and she looked hurt. "He's using me?"

"Well he's not your mate, what did you expect?" Sterling asked.

"Enough." Monroe's father warned.

My chest tightened and I felt like I wanted to faint. Monroe wrapped his arms wround me tightly.

"I will kill that weak son of a bitch." He growled.

"Monroe." His father called before looking back to Esther, "How do we protect seven?"

"Keep her by your side at all times. She can't be alone, he isn't after her necessarily, but who knows what he's capable of in order to obtain power."

I swallowed back the tears, "What about my mother? My aunt?"

"I will do what I can to cast a spell of protection, but Leonardo is not an amateur. He can easily get another witch to undo my spell." She warned.

I nodded my head.

"I already talked to Raymond and his sister. Raymond said he'd talk to his family and his sister said she was unsure." I said hopelessly.

"Monroe and Raymond need to reunite first. All of you do. You both will be an unstoppable force." She stated. I looked at Monroe's father.

"They'll never forgive me after what I did." He said sadly.

"They will." I answered. Everyone looked at me confused. "I already talked to Raymond about this, and he understood. Of course he was hurt, but he understood and said he would never in a million years have allowed someone to hurt Monroe's mother."

Mr. Cittadino looked at me as if he was holding back a lot of emotion. "That's good to know Seven, but there's a lot of deep wounds that we all need to confront before I take their word on anything. With all that aside, You must stay with us. You cannot be alone, and Monroe can't look after you on his own. I don't trust it."

"What about Dana?" Monroe asked.

"Compel her. Seven needs to grab her belongings immediately and come back here. We will look after you until all of this is sorted out, understand?" He continued sternly. I didn't want to leave my aunt, but I didn't want to put her in any danger at the same time. I nodded my head in agreement and looked towards Monroe.

"She can stay in your room with you since you are mates anyway BUT please remember, not that I'm giving you permission, but Monroe you are grown, however you can still get a human pregnant, okay? Don't be stupid please. A baby is the last thing we need right now." He sighed putting his hand on his forehead.

Sterling and Eli started laughing with each other making Monroe growl.

"And Lacey, you are no longer to have any communication with Leonardo. Do I make myself clear?" His brows raised and his gray eyes grew wide. I could tell very easily that he is the head of the household. Everyone seemed to tremble and follow his every command.

"Alright." She moped.

"None of you are allowed to be with anyone that is not your mates, do we understand each other? I can't deal with any more shit like this." He sighed.

"Yes sir." Eli and Sterling responded.

"Now I'll be in my study if anyone needs me. Evelyn please make sure Seven is fed while Monroe and the guys go get Seven's belongings." He then turned around and walked to his study slamming the door behind him.

Monroe looked at me with a sympathetic smile, "Is there anything in particular you would like me to grab aside from your clothes and toothbrush? I want you to feel as at home as possible." He asked me.

"Um definitely my razor, my cellphone charger, and the box of things my aunt gave me today. That should be all I need." I replied. He nodded his head and kissed my forehead.

"Also, I need you to give me permission to access your aunt's home."

"Oh right. I invite you in." I said sitting next to Evelyn on the couch.

"We'll be back shortly." He said as they headed out of the door. Lacey had already gone back to her bedroom leaving only me and Evelyn, who gave me a soft smile.

"I know this is all super crazy, it was crazy for me when I first came into this family too." She sighed, "Of course I wasn't as special as you are, but I want you to know as fucked up as this family may seem, we love each other so hard, and I hope you know, you're family now."

I smiled at her, "Thank you. It's just been so much in only one month." I said throwing my hands up slightly. "Everyone just hates each other over things that happened centuries ago, I don't understand it."

"I get that, but you should know immortals take rules and traditions very seriously. Like in normal human societies when the English came over and betrayed the Native Americans forcing them out of their land and enslaved them, even though the human side of us has forgiven that side of history, we still know it's wrong." She said.

"Yeah, but at the same time not all Native Americans just hate every white skinned person they see. They know that the people alive today had nothing to do with it, they hold the people enforcing the laws responsible." I added.

"You're very smart." She smiled, "And that's the point I'm making Seven. In the human ideology, Native American's can't judge every white skinned person they see because they had no control over what their ancestors did, However in an immortal ideology, those people who made those awful laws and rules about vampires and witches and wolves, are still alive."

I sighed. "How do I even Influence the Elites then, if they're such terrible people?"

"They aren't terrible, they're old fashioned. If they see that wolves and vampires can live in harmony, they may make a deal with you. To arrange a meeting between the wolf pack elites and the vampire elites. You will propose your side and hopefully Raymond and his family will help you accomplish this. Once you do, death and war will stop, and that's what we need more than anything." I looked into her big brown eyes trying to find some sort of confidence in myself as she spoke the words she was saying.

"Monroe's grandmother was a powerful woman. She wouldn't choose just anyone Seven." She added. I nodded my head, "Yeah, you're right."

"Now let's get you some food."
