Monroe still wasn't back yet after I finished my dinner so I decided to go upstairs and settle into his bedroom. I walked down the hallway with all the picture frames lining them and opened the last door at the end revealing the same big gorgeous bedroom I had seen two days ago. I sat down on the bed looking at the marble floors and the circular shape the walls made. It was dark, but calm.
I sat there taking in everything that had happened this evening. Leonardo killed my father and I never wanted to hurt someone so badly that I had never met before in my life. Not only did I find out that I lost my father the night before, I spoke with him the very next day through a Haitian witch who is connected to me through our ancestors.
This was all so much to wrap my brain around and every time I thought about it I became mentally exhausted.
I heard the door open and looked up to see Monroe carrying my things. The muscle in his bicep twinged as he carried everything at once. All of these horrible things going on had distracted me from realizing everything I needed was right in front of me.
I walked up to him as he smiled setting my things down. I wrapped my arms around his neck and stood on my tiptoes to kiss him.
"I love you." I said with no expression. He smirked.
"I love you too, Seven."
"You've officially seen me at my very worst and I'm just really thankful you're here for me." I said laying my head on his chest. I cringed at the fact I just expressed my emotions verbally, while Monroe placed his hand on the top of my head and sighed.
"I just feel like If I wasn't in your life, your father would still be alive."
"My father has wanted to die since the day I was born, I know he loves me, but the person he was on Earth wasn't the man I was talking to through Esther. I would've never known that he tried to reach out to me, I would be as sad as I was the day I moved to this small ass town, and most importantly I wouldn't know you, I wouldn't know love. I didn't know the things I felt for you were possible and as fucked up as things may be right now, I wouldn't want anyone else by my side, Monroe."
Monroe was lost staring into my eyes before he ran his hands through my hair slowly still taking in my every feature before kissing me passionatley.
"I love you Seven. I'll always be here." He smiled pulling me against his chest. "Let's get you to bed, I know you're tired." I nodded my head before he picked me up and laid me on top of his huge feathered mattress with silk black sheets. It does feel nice being able to sleep and wake up next to Monroe. I feel safe when I'm around him. He sat next to me stroking my hair all the way down to the ends. My eyes grew heavy and before I knew it I fell fast asleep.
***************
"We want the girl." A voice called. I turned around as the wind blew against my face. I was in the middle of the woods and I had no idea how I got here.
"Roman!" A man screamed to me making my entire body fill with fear. I looked at him and his hands were white as snow as he reached for me. He wore a long black cloak that hid his face. I couldn't see him, but his energy radiated towards me. I knew to be afraid. I ran as fast as I could and it felt like I was flying through the sky. I was so fast, faster than I had ever been.
Suddenly a tall figure jumped in front of me making my fly backwards towards a tree.
"Roman. Stop fighting." He warned in a low voice that carried miles.
"My name isn't Roman." I muttered trying to keep my vision from fading. The same cold hand reached towards me and his forearm caught my attention. There was a red heart tattooed on him with a black knife pierced through it.
