We pulled up to a parking spot surrounded by trees outside of the mountains. The air was cold and the sky was growing darker by the second. The stars were illuminated throughout the sky.
"Come this way." Monroe gestured towards the woods.
I followed him into a steep trail that seemed to go up and down some hills. I couldn't see that well at all and relied on Monroe's guidance.
"It's just your friend bambi." Monroe sighed.
"What?" I was confused about what he was talking about until the sounds of leaves rustling and branches snapping against the ground filled the air. It seemed like the deer was running beside us.
"I forget you can hear like a dog." I murmured making him laugh.
We continued up a steep hill as the trail disappeared and my feet were already aching. We had only been walking for 20 minutes.
We finally made it on top of the hill and the moon was so bright. It seemed so close, if Monroe would jump he'd touch it.
There was an old looking house that stood crooked. The windows were covered with red blankets and light was just barely shining through. This would seem like your witches typical house.
"I alerted them earlier that we were coming." Monroe said firmly. I nodded my head.
When we stepped onto the porch the floor board made an eerie creaking sound. Monroe knocked twice and looked back at me giving me a reassuring smile. He must have noticed my heart beat accelerating.
"It's okay." He whispered. "They're excited to meet you."
An olive toned woman slowly opened the door poking the side of her face out at us. When she saw who we were she opened the door quickly.
"Come in, come in." She smiled. Her voice was slightly raspy yet feminine at the same time.
We walked into a cozy wooden home with lots and lots of candles. God forbid they have pets this whole house would engulf in flames.
"Monroe," the short old woman smiled. She had a lot of rings and necklaces on. Her hair is long and extremely curly.
"And you must be Seven." She looked at me with big amber eyes and placed her arms beside me suddenly jolting a little bit. Her eye twitched in confusion and then she quickly smiled.
"Completion and perfection." She said.
"I'm sorry?" I asked softly.
"Your name. It's Hebrew origin means of Completion and perfection."
I smiled I had never knew the origin of my name before. I only knew the number.
"Your energy is radiating. When I touched you, our ancestors touched me." She beamed. I was really trying to play on like I knew what the hell she was talking about, but all of this was still extremely unbelievable.
"Really?" I asked touching my pendant.
"Oh yes. You have a purpose to fulfil for them." She went on looking at Monroe. "Please come sit." She gestured towards the purple sofa in the middle of the room next to the fireplace. On the table was three white candles and a black runner draped across it.
She sat down in a chair across from us. "I would offer you both some tea however it's still brewing."
"It's no issue Esther. We just need to know why Seven's ancestors are calling on her? Her sapphire has turned red twice." Monroe said. Esther turned her head in confusion.
