The door was closing.
Nadia: It was Orpheus.
In the dark, we went back to her room.
Nadia: I can't believe he's still running away at night. He's got to meet her again.
Erica: You're making quick conclusions.
Nadia: What quick conclusions didn't you see? And this uncharacteristic continues to challenge us! That can't be happening. Tomorrow I'm going to talk to Dad and tell him everything. He's got to do something.
Erica: Like what?
Nadia: I don't know.. To curse her, report her to the address. Something! But how can you be so calm? Don't you agree with me?
Erica: Of course I agree with you, that goes without saying.
I was quick to assure her.
Erica: But I don't know if this is going to hurt your brother more than it's going to help him. You know, he can see it as treason by his sister.
Nadia: No, you're not convincing me. I'll do what I said, talk to Dad. And if he doesn't take action, then my beloved granny will handle it her way.
Oh! Now I've made sure Orpheus won't like that... Just when I was about to prevent her from this decision, her words struck my head with lightning. I'd better stay out of this. We slept in the sense of the time we'd instinctively woken up tomorrow.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Exactly five minutes before the set time we were awake. Within the record time of ten minutes we had prepared and waited for Mr. Jason to wake up so Nadia could inform him of the situation. But seeing that this was not the case, we took drastic measures.
Nadia: Dad!
Nadia yells loudly and go into his room. He's surprised , popped up.
Jason: What happened?
I sat tentatively at the opening of the door waiting for evolution.
Nadia: I have to tell you something serious about Orpheus.
He stood up restlessly and his half-closed eyes widened to their cannon stage.
Nadia: Orpheus has been acting a little strange lately, and we found out he was dating a girl.
Loud knocks on the door.
Officer: Police open up!
They're here for me!
Erica: No, Nadia, what am I going to do?
I'm yelling quietly.
Nadia: Hide in my room, we're going to open.
She pulled her father out of the covers and he hastily cleaned his pajamas while I ran to hide in her room. The cops are still knocking on the door and I felt like they wanted to break it down. I'm so scared, they're screaming again to open them up.
I heard Myrto and Orpheus rushing that way. They're finally opening. I got down on my knees and watched everything through the keyhole. There are two of them standing on the doorstep. The rest of them aren't here.
Officer1: I think you know what this is about? We're looking for the elevator girl, we can't deal with this anymore, we're really tired of this case.
Nadia: What do you want from us?
Police officer: Tell us where she is, specifically, we learned from the tenants of the apartment building that you are eventually friends.
Nadia: We're not, we talk sometimes, but that's all, I don't have a special relationship with her.
My breath interrupted. The second looked fleetingly at Myrto, she tried to remain unexpressed.
Cop: Just so you know, if you've lied to me, you're in a lot of trouble. It is considered a serious misconduct to mislead the authority.
It seemed he was trying hard to get her to break and tell him the truth, but he probably didn't try hard enough since the dynamic girl remained untroubled in his initial statements. The rest of them surrounded her in silence. They didn't want to get involved and submit a whole lot of suffering to themselves. As a matter of fact, they already had enough.
Police officer: If that's the case, do you mind if we do a formal check on the house?
