I looked at the huge space. I immediately located the starting point and the closure of the route. At least thirty children were gathered there by the time we had come and then another twenty were added. It seems that the participation in this part of the school activities was amazing!
There was no stress on me, but a repressed excitement mixed with the lightness of my body. I felt a little pinch in the heart when I heard the command to take our place. There was nothing else, just my heartbeat alternating with the rhythm of my breathing.
You're going to win, I'm sure, Nadia's voice. I release the thoughts I held together with my ejection. People will be killed in the apartment, my favorite man, if the manual isn't found. My speed was as fast as I wanted.
It was too much for my body to bear, I'm making it down, risking falling forward. All the books were in the same style. Mania, Thing, Anger, Rage. <The fire arrows>! The book orpheus grabbed us with! That's the manual! I'm behind three people and competing with the fourth.
I could see the end at 20 meters. I have to get this manual!I left the acceleration unchecked to the maximum possible. I got over them all, I bend forward, I cross the finish line, I roll like a barrel on the floor, flipping out of the way. I won, I have to go home. I'm grabbing Nadia's shoulder.
Erica: I know what the manual is.
I draged her into the crowd as we disappear amid the panic I had created from the victory whose prize was to be left untapped. We were running again after the game for my house. Every moment we lost could be the fateful moment of the ceremony of <<puriffication>>.
Elena: Calm down, maybe the police will take care of it.
She was exhausted by the effort she put in to win. She just wanted to sit down and rest after something like this and not run to save a girl from some paranoid heretics.
Erica: You don't understand. The police don't believe me anyway, after what you did to Orpheus, you owe us!
I couldn't help myself.
Elena: I told you I didn't do anything to him!
I'm ignoring her. Our suggestions are sharp, fast. Our run stopped momenteraly by the sight of an overcrowded road. I filled my lungs with oxygen, consciously taking huge breaths. My tension was beginning to evaporate.
My body from the burst of energy that gave me to hunt my prey land, was now going through a stage of self-preservation and protection of my fat. I looked fleetingly at Elena, she seemed ready to give up, but she was stubborn enough to do it.
She was pushing her being to prove that she's just as capable physically as I am. My gaze flew back down the street, a gap across from us. We got stuck inside walking moderately and targeted we accelerate as soon as we set foot on the pavement.
We crossed a road dense of trees and their green, rich foliage. I was throwing myself at them and I could feel them colliding with force on my face like whips. Strong tingling and a numbness to follow. My energy may have left me, but my will wasn't.
My sweat had deeply southerned the entire inner side of the clothes that I urgently needed to get rid of and swap for new and fresh. Elena's panting and deep exhaustion was fully seen in the desperate sounds coming out of her throat.
Like screams, but not exactly. She chanted something like "I can't." But faintly like she did't want me to hear it. Now it was already late. We were outside of the building.
