Rainbow
I died didn't I? I died from the loss of blood due to Micheal's dagger hitting me in the shoulder blade but do I regret it? Absolutely not because I saved my dear sister Gold from being murdered but what I do regret is dying in such a horrific place and not being able to say goodbye to my family.
The tears slipped down my face as I watched my siblings continue to fight in order to end this cruel war and declare victory for our kingdom and restore peace once again, my white dress overflowing and taking space of the marble ground I sat on burying my head deep into my legs feeling my pink cotton candy hair move with the slight wind passed on by the sky gods letting my sobs fill the air with sound wishing I could be there with them for one last time sharing a happy memory filled with love and smiles and not one full of blood.
I sat there in silence letting time flow by like water until someone approached me.
"Rainbow," Someone called my name but I didn't move, I refused too. I felt so empty there was just too much pain to be able to do anything; I could feel my body be drained of every emotion I ever had the feeling leaving a pit in my stomach like it killed all the butterflies within my head feeling dizzy from all of the crying and thinking going on in my brain. The last time I had felt such a thing was when I watched mother and father be murdered in cold blood right in front of me. A memory that will never be forgotten and is forever engraved into my mind.
"Rainbow look at me," the figure reached down and gently touched my shoulder and sat beside me forcing me to look up to see a man with blonde hair and green gem like eyes his soft smile directed towards me, one befitting of his dashing face that went well with his charming looks all while wearing a white and gold robe. "W- who are you?" I questioned as I wiped my tears as quickly as possible feeling embarrassed to be seen like this but the tall man didn't seem to care.
I'm sure I looked like a total mess.
"Some unimportant dear," I raised an eyebrow as I tried to keep my sniffling back as much as I could feeling like every sound I made would make the situation much more awkward. "Consider me as a guide or better yet a friend of some sorts." I nodded unsure of what he meant silence quickly finding a comfortable place within me waiting for him to speak, "You've done good things out of a kind and pure heart dear child, and I'm sure your wish and prayer were heard from the higher ups," I laughed a bit at his remark finding myself become more confident around him the more he talked in a comforting tone, "I'm sure the gods think it's silly to even think I'll be brought back to life," his breath was soft and silent his eyes not even taking a single look at me throughout this whole conversation, "What makes you think they didn't hear it?" His question was sincere; I could tell.
"Well," I started trying to list all of the ways they didn't hear it.
"I'm dead for one, and I'm just another soul that met it's death date. Why would they grant my wish when there are so many other people who sit like me and long to go back to their family? I'm just like every other person." My voice slowly died down the longer I talked, ending my speech when I had come to my sense that I was just like anyone else and no one special. I buried my head back into my knees cursing myself out at the thought that for a second I was somebody different, somebody new and unique, "You and your kind worry about the most dumbest and simplest things," he continued but he paused midway through his sentence so I waited until he began to speak again. And he did.
"Child who said you were dead in the first place?" he touched the top of my head without warning not giving me a chance to speak a warm feeling of light and airy-ness quickly taking over me but soon pain struck followed be darkness right after.

The empty space of black was lonely but strange. I couldn't feel anything, I didn't have a sense of time, the emotionless sensation was familiar; where was I? Who am I? The voices in the distance that came from no where sounded strangely comforting but I couldn't see who the voice belonged to, they had no face, no body the voice had nothing but only sound that called out to me.
"Ra-nb-w!" It was muffled, they didn't say a real word but I knew it was directed towards me and only me seeing that it looked like I was the only one here in this weird space of nothing and darkness "--i--o-!" Everything seemed to stand still but suddenly there came a beeping noise of sorts that seemed like it would go on forever and ever, "Rain---!" words were becoming more clear but I still couldn't make them out. Nothing in this spaceless space seemed to make sense but only more sounds came up every now and then which could have been either seconds, minutes, or hours of a day.
The beeping noise was unbearable and annoying but it still continued going, what was that noise? Turn it off.
Suddenly I could feel something cold, something warm, the noise of people shuffling around me continued and the beeping noise became faster then before and then my nostrils stung from the cold air I could now finally feel as I breathed in and out.
"——bow!"
"She's dead isn't she!?"
"Don't day that idiot!"
"Wait look!"Where was the voices that kept calling me coming from? The left? From the right? The darkness I was trapped in soon became lighter and lighter until I could see something that looked like a hospital room through a small creak the room only becoming bigger and bigger until that's all I could see.
I took a breath of relief.
"Rainbow!" I turned to my side and there, the voices who were calling me stood, tears falling down their faces as they watched me blink once and then twice trying to figure out what in the world had just happened.
"I'm not dead yet," I smiled tiredly all four of my precious family pouncing at me to engulf me in a giant group hug as they continued to sob my weak body going against all forces so I could hug them back.
"We won the war?" I questioned and they nodded with happy smiles.
"We won."
