The nostalgia of running down the halls of my home hit me without warning, I missed being here since it was the last place where I could remember our parent's by. We ran through various of secret passage ways that we used to sneak in and out of the castle but this time we were using them to find our way into the throne room where we knew where this hatful man would be because if he were smart enough he would stay in there and sit on the throne with the crown at the top of his head claiming the throne to himself because as long as he's up there and wears the crown then he owns the kingdom to his evil ways.
"What now?" Lunar wheezed as she tried to catch her breath from all of the running. The passage had split into two ways, unfamiliar to us at that so we didn't know which way to go, "I don't know, I've never used the secret hallways to get into the throne room," Rainbow breathed as she examined both ways carefully, we had lost all of our soldiers further down since the enemy had invaded these tunnels too so now it was down to just us siblings minus Draco.
"I say we go right, because right is always right, right?" I say trying to lighten up the mood but it just made them look at me with confusion in their eyes and disappointment written on their faces. "I mean, we could give it a shot," and so we did. We ran down the right tunnel, forcing our way through soldiers non stop before we climbed up a set of tall, spiral stairs until we reached a doorway decorated in gold, with a dusty ring doorknob complementing the fine dark wood. I took my hands and felt around until I felt something cool and dusted away the dirt where a gold plaque in the middle with written words saying 'Throne Room' presented itself to us.
Bingo.
Lunar pushed forward and eagerly tried to pry open the door but to our luck it was locked tight from the other side like they knew we would come this way and try to do a surprise attack.
"What now? It's locked!" Gold exclaimed only to be hushed my Rainbow, "Be quiet Gold, they might hear us." Rainbow stood there for a moment before moving and leading us down the stairs and through even more dimly lit halls before we ascended another pair of spiral stairs and burst through a similar looking door into the hall where bodies laid everywhere and blood stained the floors and halls in every area. "I think I'm going to be sick," Gold murmured as the stench of rotten mold had hit us, "Man up Gold Glare Evergreen, we don't have time to be sick. The king is expecting us soon, and we mustn't keep him waiting shall we?" And before we could say anything she took off to the right of her making us follow after like lost dogs in the park.
We stopped in front of two giant dark spruce double doors, decorated with gold and silver from top to bottom in an empty long hallway with no other doors.
Plants, paintings, glass, anything considered decoration was either stained with blood, knocked over and broken, or shattered and ripped to pieces all around us like an earthquake had just happened."Behind those doors lie a man of evil and horror. He spills nothing but false lies of the truth and the truth of lies. Yes, Gold and I may have had history with him but tonight, when we enter this final battle that history dies tonight and a new one will be made with him. Prepare your best for the worst. Are you ready ladies?" Every one of us had shifted in our clothing while shifting our clothing to be more comfortable.
All of us trembled but the oldest seemed to be trembling even more. Whatever the history was it must have been bad for her to shake like this. I watched as my oldest sister tightened her grip around her weapon and place a hand on one of the door handles while Gold on the other and just about as they were going to swing open the doors someone had yelled out to us, "Wait!" We all turned around to face the owner of the voice and there stood a black haired and green eyed man cleaned off of every drop of blood, healed from every wound he had, hand on his sword with determination set in his eyes, came running before stopping right in front of us.
"Draco!? What are you doing here!? You shouldn't be here, you're injured!" I freaked but he shook his head and laughed, "Do I looked harmed? The healers had healed me almost completely to the max, and cleaned me from all of the dirt and blood, I intended to stay back and help with smaller tasks as they had suggested but when I heard you guys were going to face this idiot I couldn't let you guys have all of the fun!" We all sighed and shook our heads knowing all to well that Draco was a stubborn little dragon and wouldn't go back even if we begged him to, but Rainbow smiled and twisted the doorknob a little.
"The more help the better. Are you all ready?" Without hesitation we all nodded and the two oldest had opened the doors where the forced king sat upon the throne, crown on his head as expected sat there with a dark smile on his face.
The final battle had begun.
Sorry this took so long, I've been busy, but how are you guys holding up? I hope you're doing well and staying indoors and away from the Corona Virus, but I rushed this chapter a bit so it may seem kinda odd but I tried my best to get this to you guys as fast as possible.
Anyways I hope you guys are doing what you're suppose to be doing (staying in doors and being healthy) so stay safe and don't do anything dumb! Love youuuuu!
