Chapter 7:
Lux POV:
I had spent the entire night thinking of Monday. I had to go to Forks High School on Monday... Alone.
God, if only I knew SOMEONE instead of being the new weirdo chick with purple eyes!
Urgh!
I groaned and softly moved Shadow's head off my lap and onto my couch. I pulled a purple fuzzy blanket and tucked it around him, before cooing at the sight.
Huskies are adorable.
I gave him a kiss on the head and looked at the clock. The green glowing letters read 3:19. I hopped off my couch and headed into the shower.
Lathering my coconut body wash into my skin, I quietly sang my favorite song.
"I don't mind spending everyday, out on your corner in the pouring rain oh. Look for the girl with the broken smile, ask her if she wants to stay awhile." I sang to myself, scrubbing my shampoo into my thick dark hair.
"And she will be loved, and she will be loved." I sang a bit louder and then gasped.
Snapping off the shower nozzle quickly, the calming water stopped, the cold Forks air chilling me. I looked around anxiously.
I'm such an idiot! Vampires can hear MILES AWAY, and you're in the shower!
Oh my god I'm not even a good singer.
Laughing to myself like a crazy lady, I stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my chest.
There's so much I have to get used to.
I threw on some yoga pants, a crop top, and put my hair in a messy bun with a bandana tied around my head. I walked back out to my room and grabbed my phone, calling Zoe and my mom.
Neither answered, of course because it was 3 in the morning, and I sighed frustratedly. I can't wait to see Zoe's face again. I miss her laugh, hearing her crack a joke at an awkward time.
Things are never going to be the same.
I left them voicemails, stating that I was moving closer to Forks and living with some old friends from years ago.
After I was done I shut my phone off, and sighed.
I need to get my shit together.

Carter POV:
The next day I woke up early to go spend some alone time in the woods. It was a particularly bright day out for the usual Forks weather, and it cleared my head.
Picking up a rock, I chucked it a tree, making a large dent in it from my wolf strength. Smiling I continued this until I heard a soft angelic voice from behind me.
"Umm sorry to interrupt whatever it is that your doing..." Lux trailed off awkwardly with a laugh. I immediately stood up straighter, and dropped the rock from my hand.
"Oh, um, that's nothing. Can I help you with something?" I asked, not knowing what to do.
My pulse was racing, and I could feel a prick of sweat breaking out on my palms. Swallowing nervously I waited for her to say something.
All I could focus on was her beautiful skin, sparkling like most vampires' do in the light of the woods. Her captivating purple eyes that I could never get mad at.
