Chapter 2: The Girl in the Woods

"P...please...H...H-help... m-me..." she muttered out as she leaned towards to Reaper, making the other tense up as the girl fell unconscious... on his chest.

In panic, Reaper quickly flared his magic onto the now unconscious girl, lightly pushing her away to let her rest under a tree.

Reaper quickly stood up as he looked down at his palms in disbelief and grieved. "DAMMIT!" He cursed as he glanced at the girl, but then he became even more surprised. The girl was still breathing, her chest was still expanding in and out. She was alive. Reaper was speechless, was there a delay? Is his curse gone? Have his powers grown stable over time? He wondered as his eyes darted at a small tree sapling in the corner, he kneeled down to the saplings level, reaching his hand out to touch it. As the tip of his fingers were only a few centimeters away, the sapling immediately wilted. A shadow demon approached the unconscious girl, making Reaper jolt up and grab the demon and it soon disintegrated to black ash.

"W...what the...?" He muttered out as he glanced back at the sleeping girl. Her soft yet heavy breathing can still be heard. Reaper shook his head and took out his Holographic Communicator, typing in to call his guardians.

The device turned on, revealing an orange fizzy hologram, the picture became clear as an image of Toriel appeared in the hologram.

"Reaper? You called? Is everything alright?" Toriel asked in a concerned manner as Reaper nodded. "Aunt Toriel. I found a girl in Midshade Forest." He said in a serious tone as he glanced back down at the girl. Toriel gasped as she puts a hand on her mouth. "I-is she alright? Any injuries?" she asked and Reaper shook his head. "O-oh! We'll cut this call short, luckily, me and Asgore are on our way back! We'll be there as soon as possible Reaper! Keep an eye for her in the mean time!" Toriel said as the hologram faded. Reaper flopped down onto the grass across the girl with his legs crossed, he let out a heavy sigh of relief that his guardians are now on their way back to Elysia.

With that out of the way, he couldn't stop thinking. "She didn't die..." he thought to himself as he glances at the sleeping girl's frame. He was also rather curious on how she got here, since the first two villages were all destroyed and now inhabited by more demons. Reaper just sighed again and hoped that the guardians will arrive soon enough.

10 minutes have passed and Toriel and Asgore have finally arrived, Toriel immediately walked towards the girl, as Asgore was in front of Reaper.

"You didn't make contact with her, did you?" Asgore asked as Reaper gulped. "I...I" he stuttered as Asgore crossed his arms and raised a brow at the younger's answer.

"He didn't dear... She's still breathing." Toriel said as she feels the smaller. "Her soul and heart are beating properly..." she continued as Asgore nods and walks towards his wife, kneeling down beside her as he carries the unconscious girl. "Not even a single scratch or drip of blood on her... she must have fought the demons that have attacked her and passed out from exhaustion." Asgore commented as he made his way in the forest to go back to their villa with the other two following behind him.

Reaper couldn't say anything, in fact he didn't want to say anything. What and how is he supposed to explain it?! "HEY TO BE HONEST, I ACTUALLY MADE PHYSICAL CONTACT WITH HER, BUT SHE DIDN'T DIE I GUESS!"

"Reaper." Toriel spoke as Reaper snapped out of his thoughts, his face was rather dull and he was sweating bullets, feeling a bit nervous and anxious, but why though?
