Part 2: The Ruined Kingdom

Everything has fallen apart. Nightmare's plan to control demons have worked but, it paid him his own soul and life, he too has become a demon full of power, but not only that, he has been given the title as the demon king.

Fortunately, a few citizens and younger hunters were able to flee before the situation went out of hand, a few of those were the remaining present demon hunters; Renrink, Lilith, Toriel, Asgore, and Gaster. However, the majority being enslaved under Nightmare were his own comrades under the royal court of Sperante, even the Queen of Kanji, Ink was one of them as well, it was truly the downfall for everything.

Though, the enslaved 'Helluva' Demons still have their own personality, it's hard for them to think more morally human because of the overpowering darkness that consumed their soul. That's why when Cross went into Crystal Therapy, whereas he was surrounded by light magic, he was able to come into his senses and temporarily into his normal old self, rather than being a harsh abiding power-hungry demon.

Even if a few of these hunters have a strong will to live and determined to stop their demon king, they couldn't because Nightmare himself can hear their own thoughts, his own self as the beacon of darkness connected to all the demons. He sees through their eyes, reads their minds and controls them like mindless puppets.

During this horrible fiasco, new species of demons have arisen, that are now known as the grief demons in the present. The source of these demons was originally coming from Nightmare's power of negative emotions. If a human were to feel overwhelming 'mount of negativity, Nightmare could sense that feeling, thus a particular grief demon would be summoned to devour that same human who felt the emotion. But when a grief demon devours a human with light powers, the grief demon's body will burn from the powerful surge of magic, but slowly the human devoured will become a Helluva Demon, serving under the Demon King.

With the new found dark powers, Nightmare abused the magic for his own amusement and chaos, until the power he held was too much that it stung him like fire.

/3 Years After the Incident/

Nightmare looked in the mirror of his dark lit room, his curtains were torn but open to see a ruined view of their kingdom. Not even a single ray of sunlight shone onto his room, the sky in Visse were dark and menace. The storm clouds with cackling rolls of thunder still circled in the main town of their kingdom, and it was exactly above their castle too.

Nightmare gritted his teeth as his eyebrow's furrows, looking at his reflection, silently hissing in pain as he looks at an annoying and burning glow on his chest.

The sharp ominous crystal on his hand also glowed a burning light as it slowly ached into him, the Demon King feeling a heavy weight upon his chest and claw.

He roared as he fades into a shadow and goes all the way down to the throne room to plop onto the mighty pedestal, the pain and lingering burn still reminiscing on his chest and claw. "All demons to the throne room." He muttered as his eyes glowed purple, and in a matter of seconds, all present Helluva Demons straight up marched in the room, their eyes all glowing purple, their expressions were all fatigued and limp.
