Chapter 13: Beacon of Darkness

"Reaper!" Geno exclaimed as she locks her arms to embrace the other. "G-geno... You're still-" Reaper spoke in a whimpering tone, but his voice was cut off as strings of light plunged into his body, now making him limp and faint.

"H-huah!? PROFESSOR!"

Geno exclaimed as Reaper went limp onto her arms, Geno's gape wound was now fully healed, the cut was gone, the black ooze of demon blood was also no longer there, her arm was just clean, as if she wasn't injured in the first place, and she wasn't turning into a Helluva Demon.

"GENO! ISNT THAT A DEMON!?" someone exclaimed, and from the hole, a man rose, the man wore a labcoat, but some parts of the fabric were stitched with blue threads, he had tan skin, his eyes were also mismatched; one is red and one is blue. He wore a red shirt under the coat, and he had red round glasses, this was Professor Error CQ himself in the flesh. "Professor CQ!" Geno yells, her arms still locked with Reaper's unconscious frame. "H-He's not a Helluva Demon!" she protested as Error froze in place, his left hand was out for reach, where blue strings of light were summoned from them, they all wrapped on Reaper's chest.

"He, isn't? But why does he-" Error tried to go nearer to them but Geno stopped him by placing a small barrier by them. "Don't come any closer-! I-I'll explain everything later, I swear..." she spoke lightly as Error sighed and released his strings of light, and Reaper's ash like spots started to fade from his own body, him just now fast asleep. "As Happy as I am that we are once again reunited, you better explain yourself young lady..." Error grumbled as he turns on his heels and gestures for Geno to follow him.

Geno didn't really have much of physical strength but used a bit of her magic to balance carrying her lover, as they slowly made their way down, Error sighed. "...I'm guessing... the one down there is the Helluva Demon you fought?" Error muttered as Geno glanced at the bottom where the dead body of the person they fought earlier. "Y-yeah..." She mumbled, looking away from the rotting corpse.

"I'm sorry Sans..." Error whispered, but it was still audible enough for Geno to hear. "One of your past colleagues Professor?" Geno asked with a sympathetic smile; her question made Error flinch and tense up and thus not getting an answer from the latter.

"How old are you really Professor?" Geno asked again as Error let out a sigh and looked at his adopted teenage daughter with a nervous smile. "I'm guessing spending your time with the Prism Deltarune made you realize the truth about me too, huh?" Error spoke as Geno just let out a nervous laugh, "Partially... Sir Cross didn't really tell us THAT much about you Professor." Geno replied as it made Error's eyes widened in surprise when she brought up Cross' name. "YOU CAPTURED CROSS?" he asked with a wide grin as Geno nodded.

"Oh my stars..." Error muttered as Geno gave a fake cough to get the adult's attention, which it did, making Error raise a brow and glance at her, his wide happy grin on his face. "You yourself have a lot to tell me too, Professor. I want to know everything that happened in the past... It would be a fair exchange." Geno negotiated as Error chuckles at her antic, "Alright Genocide, it's fair, and besides, you do need to know the truth." Error replied.

"So, you're telling me that this boy is a Prism Deltarune Demon Hunter, a conjurer of Black magic, has the power of death itself- Has been cursed by the demon king and made his death magic uncontrollable, making him kill anyone he dares make contact with..." Error emphasized as Geno just constantly nods at his statements.

"I've heard about the curses that the hunters get, but they always kill themselves in the end to not hurt their peers, but this boy has gone through a lot more than just a curse... But... even I don't understand that you can make contact with him... Is it because you already have the anti-demon vaccine? But even that doesn't add up since you did say that even normal shadow demons wither away from his touch..." Error tried to explain as he rubs his head in confusion.
