Car Fire

"It's not the same without Herrmann here," Casey said as he laid on the bed in his office.
Gabby leaned her head on his chest.
"The doctors said he's fine and will make a recovery. He should be back next shift," she replied.
"So I made some appointments for us to see where we want the wedding reception."
"When for?"
"Saturday."
"Okay, that sounds nice. I'm excited."
"Me too. It's always just been something we've thought about. And now that we've set a date it's all real."
The alarm went off.
'Truck 81, Ambulance 61, Squad 3, Battalion 25. Two car accident.'
Both Gabby and Matt got up and went out to the trucks.
"Is it just me or is it always bad when squad 3 get called?" Shay asked as they got into the ambo.
"You said it girl."
They drove down the streets to the accident and then got out.
"Alright. Truck take the minivan, squad take the car. Medics spilt up," Boden called.
"I've got the van," Gabby said. "You work with squad."
They both grabbed the bags and took off in opposite directions.
"Dawson you're needed in the van now," Casey called.
Truck broke the window and Casey and Gabby got in.
"Alright, chest laceration, shortness of breath," Casey said.
"What's your name sweetie?" Gabby asked.
"Julia. Is my baby okay?"
"Where's the baby?" Casey asked.
"The back of the van, in the car seat," she replied weakly.
"Alright Im going to put a c-collar on you, and then we'll get you on a backboard and out."
Gabby placed the collar around her neck.
"Alright, ready for the backboard."
"Julia, your baby's fine. One of the men have her in the ambulance," Casey said.
"T-thank-you."
Casey grabbed the backboard and they carefully laid the women down on it.
"On 3. 1-2-3."
They moved Julia out of the car and Casey and Dawson sat back in relief.
"Do you smell gas?"
"No..."
Suddenly the car erupted in flames and Matt jumped of Gabby. They quickly put out the flames and pulled Gabby and Matt out.
"You okay?" Casey asked.
"Y-yeah. Thank you."
