Casey sat at his desk with the ultrasound in his hand. He only looked up when there was a knock at the door before gesturing for Herrmann to come in.
"Hey Lieutenant," he said opening the door.
"How's it going Herrmann?" He asked turning around to face him.
"I was going to ask you the same question."
"I'm alright. Thanks for asking."
"How's Dawson holding up?"
"She's good at hiding things. I'm not really sure myself."
"You know, Cindy had the same thing with 2 of the kids. 3rd and 5th. They're fine."
"Yeah but she didn't have a good pregnancy with the last one did she?"
He shrugged slightly.
"The point I'm trying to make is that they're okay now. And if you ever need anyone to talk to I'm here. And Gabby can catch up with Cindy anytime she wants."
"Thanks Herrmann," he smiled slightly.

The bell went off.
"Casey you've got a visitor out front."

Casey got up and both Herrmann and him left the room. He walked down the corridor and into the common room before going out to the trucks.
"Uncle Matt!" Violet called standing at the front.
"Violet?" He asked walking over to his seven year old niece.
"I missed you."
"How was your holiday? Where's Mum?"
"It was great. She's in the car, she said she'd be in in a minute."
"Let's go find her."
He took her hand and walked out of the firehouse to the driveway.
"Hi Matt," Christie smiled.
"This is a suprise," he said hugging her.
"I know it's really late notice but I have to go see a client this arvo and I can't watch her. I asked her where she wanted to come and she said here. Can you watch Violet?"
"Yeah no worries."
"It'll be a few hours max."
"Christie it's fine. I'll see you soon."
"I got your wedding invite by the way. We'll be there. Tell Gabby I said hi."
"I will. Bye."

Matt and Violet walked back into the fire house.
"Is auntie Gabby here?" She asked.
"Yeah we can go find her. We have something special to tell you."
"What?" She asked excitedly.
Matt bent down to her.
"Before we get married, auntie Gabby is going to have a baby," he smiled.
"What?! Really!" She squealed.
"Yeah," he chuckled as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Where is she? I want to see her!"
"This way."
He opened the door and they walked down into the common room. As soon as Violet set sight on Gabby standing at the coffee machine she let go of Matts hand and ran to her wrapping her arms around her waist.
"Violet?" Gabby asked looking down.
"Are you really having a baby?!" She asked excitedly.
"Yeah," Gabby said, her smile spreading at Violets excitement.
"That's so exciting!"
"Was your holiday good?" She asked sitting down and pulling Violet onto her lap.
"Yeah it was awesome! I wish you and uncle Matt came though!"
"Maybe next time," she smiled. "Do you remember who everyone is?"
Violet looked around the room.
"That's Kelly," she smiled pointing to Severide. "I have a photo of me and uncle Matt with Kelly."
"How you doing kiddo?" Kelly smiled.
"My auntie is having a baby," she smiled.
"I know, it's pretty exciting isn't it?"
Violet nodded and looked around stopping at Mouch. "You're the one with a silly name." They all started laughing.
"That's Mouch sweetie," Gabby smiled pulling back some of Violets hair.
"Mouch! I remember now!" She giggled.
The chief walked in and smiled when he saw Violet.
"And that's the chief!"
"I'm glad you didn't forget me Violet," he smiled.
"Auntie Gabby will you show me around?"
"Yeah sure lets go," she smiled.
