'Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61. Tree Fire. Park Meadows Tree Farm.'

"Just when I'd finally fallen asleep," Gabby sighed as she got into the ambulance beside Shay.
"It's 11 o'clock on Christmas Eve, how do fires start?"
"I don't know, I'm just glad I'm not working tomorrow. To many kitchen fires to attend to."
"What are you doing for the day?"
"Probably sleeping all morning and then dinner with Violet and Chrisite, then I think Antonio is bringing Diego around for a bit for presents."
"Sounds fun."
"What about you?"
"My dad is coming down to visit. I haven't seen him in ages. I told mum she could come but when she found out dad would be there she organised to come down next week."
"God don't your parents frustrate you?"
"Tell me about it. Just because they're divorced doesn't mean they can't be in the same room to have dinner with me." She sighed, "What about your parents?"
"Not seeing them. They'll probably come down when the baby's born. Matt wants to go to the jail in the morning to visit his mum."
"You don't want to go?"
"I don't mind. Matt doesn't want me anywhere near the place because of the baby. And his mum doesn't know about it, she thinks we are rushing things."
"She's only met you three times."
"Exactly! When in reality Matt and I have been together for what? Nearly 3 and a half years."
"God people are annoying."

They pulled up out the front of the tree farm and Shay stopped the van.
"10 bucks this is some drunk ass that's got no idea what he's doing," Shay said.
"You're on."
"Get some water on those flames," Casey called.
"Shay, Dawson. Get rid of this tool," Severide said pulling up a drunk guy.
"Hi what's your name?" Shay asked as they loaded into the back of the ambo.
"Micheal. What's yours sugarplum?"
"Nice try," Shay smiled. "But that's not for you to know. Are you hurt?"
"Tell me your name and I'll tell you."
"Not gonna happen."
"Why'd you light the fire Micheal?" Dawson asked.
"I thought a glowing Christmas tree would be nice ya know."
Gabby and Shay both held in laughter before Gabby called over the radio.
"This is 61 to main, we need a police officer on scene, we've got a drunk guy accused of lighting a fire. No injuries."
"Copy that 61."
"You owe me," Shay said.
"Yeah whatever. You win."

The cops showed up and took the man away which left the ambulance to go back to the house while the engines put out the fire. They drove back and Shay made them some coffee. Gabby grabbed her cup and walked down into Matts office then closed the door. She sat of bed with a book and by the time Matt got back to the house she was asleep. He kissed her head and took the mug and book out if her hands, then helped her lay down before pulling the blanket over her.
"I love you," he whispered kissing her head gently.
