6. Studying

Minami walked into the gym the next afternoon, completely out of it. She set her stuff on the ground and sat down on the bench, resting her head in her hands.

"Uh, are you okay Minami-san?" 

Minami looked up to find the entire volleyball team staring at her.

"No," she grumbled. She pulled her knees up to her chest and hugged them.(She's wearing practice clothes which is a t-shirt and shorts)

"What's wrong?" Semi asked, sitting beside her.

"I have a stupid freaking test this Friday in Math and I'm terrible at Math and it's weird cause everyone here already know this stuff and I wasn't taught it at Fukurodani. So, I'm most likely going to fail so that means the first grade I'll have of my second year will be a bad one," she rambled.

Minami started banging her head against her knees over and over. None of the boys said or did anything so she continued to hit her head. 

"Minami-san, you don't have to worry," Goshiki said. "We can help you study!"

"I never agreed to this," Shirabu said, crossing his arms.

"You have to help her study, Shirabu," Taichi said. "You're in her Math class."

"Ok, first of all, How do you even know that, are you my personal stalker?" Shirabu asked. "And secondly, I'm having trouble in Math myself so, I can't help."

"Perfect!" Semi exclaimed. "We can help you both."

Shirabu groaned and Minami looked up hopefully, "Really?"

"Of course," Ohira said. "We don't want anyone to fail any classes. We'll help you guys however we can."

"Sadly though, we can't do it now," Yamagata said. "Cause if Coach comes in here and we're doing nothing we will be severely punished."

The other players grumbled in agreement and went to stretch. After a few minutes of stretching they started serving.

Minami's phone buzzed in her pocket and she took it out.

Minami hit the call button and started walking away.

"Hey Bokuto," she said.

"Hey, Hey, Hey, Minami!" he replied. "So my I talked to my coach and he said we could do it!"

"Really?" she asked. "That's great! Do you know what day?"

"Actually let me ask!" Minami waited for a minute while Bokuto asked. 

"Hey, he said Friday if it's okay with you!" Bokuto said. 

"Yeah, that's perfect!" Minami said. "I guess I'll see you later."

"Yeah, bye Minami!" he replied.

"Bye Bokuto," she told him before hanging up.

Minami was basically glowing as she made her way back to the gym where the boys were taking a water break.

"Minami-san? You look extremely happy," Ohira said. The rest of the team noticed her happy state. "Are you okay?"

"Of course," she said smiling. "I just heard some good news and I thought I should tell you guys!"

"Ooh what is it Minami-chan?" Tendou asked, excited.

Minami smiled, "I may have possibly snagged us a practice match with Fukurodani this Friday."

"How did you manage that?" Semi asked.
