25. I Don't Feel Too Good

Minami found herself sitting in the floor of a bathroom the next morning. She had woken up normally, eaten breakfast, taken her medicine and been okay for most of the morning.

Then she began coughing up blood. Minami quickly rushed to the bathroom coughing up all of the blood into the toilet. The blood soon turned into throwup. So she was hacking a mix of both into the toilet. It was awful.

Minami stood up for a minute to get a good look at herself in the mirror. She had an array of rashes going up and down her arms and neck, her skin was pale, and she was skinnier than normal. 

Then she felt something stir in her stomach and quickled keeled over, throwing up in the toilet. She retook her position on the ground and continued to hack up throw up and blood.

She rested her head on her arm and leaned over the toilet seat. She was extremely tired and wasn't able to sleep the previous night. Maybe it would do her some good to take a nap.

-TENDOU POV-

Tendou whistled the tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb as he made his way to Minami's hospital room. He quickly opened the door only to find the sheets of her bed messy and the bathroom door open.

Tendou quickly looked through the doorway only to stare in shock. Minami was reasting, her head on the toilet seat. Inside the toilet was a mix of throwup and blood. Minami had a little stream of blood coming from her mouth.

Tendou carefully walked in and squatted down in front of her. He pushed her dirty blonde hair out of her face, causing her to slowly open her eyes.

"Satori?" The she doubled over, coughing more blood into the toilet. Tendou pulled her hair quickly out of her face.

"Oh my gosh," he said, as she coughed more blood. "I'm going to get the doctor."

Tendou stood up and quickly left the room to fetch Dr. Haru. He went to the desk on that floor where the nurse was sitting.

"Yes? What can I do for you?"

"Um," Tendou ran a hand through his hair. "I was going to Minami Ushijima's room and she's coughing up blood in the bathroom..."

The nurse nodded quickly picking up the phone and dialing a number. She waited a second and then, "Hello, Dr. Haru? There's an emergency at room 356. Okay, thank you." The nurse hung up the phone and looked at Tendou. "The doctor will be here shortly, if you could stay with her and make sure she's in critical condition until he gets there, he would appreciate it."

Tendou nodded, thanking the nurse and heading back into Minami's room. She was still near the toilet except her breathing was harsh and shallow, like she was forcing it out. Tendou didn't know what exactly to do so he pulled her away from the toilet and rested her head on his lap.

He cradled her head in his arms, praying that she would be okay when Dr. Haru rushed into the room. He bent down beside them and put his stethescope to Minami's heart. A few seconds passed and he took them off.

"Would you, get her back onto the bed?" he asked. Tendou nodded, grabbing Minami from under her knees and behind her back, holding her over his shoulder like a baby, her legs limply hanging around his waist.

Tendou carefully deposited her back onto her bed and Dr. Haru began a quick check-up. Tendou sat down and watched as the doctor did his work, looking down her throat, checking her vitals, and finally putting a breathing mask over her face.

Tendou begn biting his fingernails, a nervous habit of his, as Dr. Haru skimmed through the papers on his clipboard. Then, he turned to Tendou. "Thankfully, she will be alright. I think I should explain what happened when she wakes so I can tell you both at the same time."
