12. Training Camp

The prophesied day finally arrived. 

It was very early morning and they all had to wake up super duper early to clean the gym. Minami trudged into the wood floors and almost collapsed from tiredness. Instead of falling to the ground, she fell into someone's arms.

"Woah," Tendou said, pulling her back onto her feet. "You okay Minami-chan?"

She replied with a mumble, rubbing her eyes. "I'm going to take that as, you're tired."

She frowned and nodded her head, "Very."

"~Okay," he grinned and picked her up bridal style.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"I'm your transportation," he said.

"Satori put me down," she said. "Please."

"Aw, okay," he reluctanlty put her back on the ground and they walked to the closet, where Semi, Taichi, and Yamagata were waiting.

They grabbed the equipment and set up the nets and put the volleyballs in carts. They also had to sweep and mop the floor. 

"Do you uys always have to do this?" she asked, pushing the mop on the floor.

"Only when we have practice matches, or a training camp," Semi said. "He makes us clean up affter practice too."

Minami nodded and continued to mop. After a few minutes, the entire team was helping clean the gym. Soon, they were finished.

Coach Washijo and Ushijima stod in the front to await the arrival of the other teams.

The rest of the team stood around waiting except for Minami who was told to wait in the room where the managers would be staying.

She spread out the cots on the ground making sure there were enough. She then heard a knock on the door.

Minami opened the door to see a girl with dirty blonde hair. Minami stepped to the right, letting her in, "Uh, Hi. I'm Shiratorizawa's manager, Minami Ushijima." 

"Hi!" the girl said. "I'm Mai Nametsu, the manager of Date Tech."

"It's nice to meet you," Minami said. "You can sit down anywhere."

Mai smiled and set her bag down on one of the cots. A few miuntes later, there was another knock on the door.

Minami opened it once more and two girl were there. 

"Hi I'm Hana Misaki and this is Runa Kuribayashi," they said. "We're the managers of Johzenji."

"I'm Minami Ushijima, I'm from Shiratorizawa," she said. "You guys can sit anywhere."

"Ok," Hana said. They all sat down in somewhat of a group and started talking. 

After somemore minutes there someone else opened the door. She was very tall and and had short black hair.

"I'm Takara Kageyama, manager of Aoba Johsai," she said. Minami stood up.

"Hi, I'm Minami Ushijima, manager of Shiratorizawa" Minami said standing up. 

"Ushijima? Are you Ushijima-san's sister?" she asked. Minmi nodded.

Then everyone else introduced themselves. 

"So we heard your team beat Karasuno?" Minami asked once Takara sat down.

"Yeah. I wasn't there for the Shiratorizawa game though. Congrats on winning," she replied.

"Oh I wasn't there," Minami said. "I was an exchange student from Fukurondai, I used to play volleyball there."

"What happened to your arm?" RUna asked. That's when Minami noticed that she had a cast.
