Lost in Blue

chapter two

I walk back to the common room and into my room after detention.

I change out of my robes and into my Slytherin hoodie and jeans.

"How was detention with Draco?" Grace emphasizes his name

"Terrible" I say dryly

"Oh please. He might be awful but you cannot deny that he has never looked better" she says laying on her stomach on the bed

"Yeah, no" I say to her. "I'm going to hang out with Blaise" I smirk.

"What!" She shoots up. " you're hanging out with Blaise?!?"

"He may or may not of asked me to hang later today in charms..."

"Shut up. No he didn't" she says wide eyed.

"Oh but he did" I smile skipping out of the room down to the common room.

I see Blaise sitting on the leather sofa.

"Hey" I smile taking a seat beside him.

"Hey. How was detention?" He laughs

"Long and boring" I frown. "What have you been up too?"

"Oh not much, I finished a History of Magic assignment"

I nod awkwardly, not knowing what to say next.

"So-" he is interrupted with Draco opening the common room door and sitting in the couch across from us.

Blaise gives Malfoy an eyebrow but Draco just sits there as if he was invited.

"What're you doing mate?" Blaise asks, as if he's trying to get Draco to leave.

"What? I cant sit in my own common room" he scoffs.

"Do you wanna go outside for a walk or something" Blaise turns to ask at me.

"I wouldn't if I were you. Snape's on guard tonight" Draco cuts in, "Stella, I was actually wondering if you could help me with potions?"

I give him a weird look. What is wrong with him.
Before I can even answer he continues,

"Thanks, we can go to the library tomorrow it's probably a lot quieter" he claps and stands up.
"Blaise are you coming?"

"Uh yeah. I guess" Blaise slowly stands up.
"See ya tomorrow Stella" Blaise says while walking away with Malfoy.

I shoot harsh glares at the back of Dracos head.
Of course, trying to get back at me for causing him detention.

The next day in charms during our free time I sit with Blaise as he goes on about the first task coming up.

"Are you going to watch the first task Stella?" Blaise asks

"Of course. I can't miss it" I laugh

"You should come with me. We can go to hogsmeads after" he suggests.

"Aren't you going with that mudbloo- I mean Grace?" Draco says, intruding in on the conversation.

"Yeah I am" I glare at Draco.

"She can come too. We can all go" Blaise smiles.

"Okay.." I smile shyly.

The bell rings and I go into my potions class.

At dinner, Grace and I sit chatting when Blaise walks over and sits with us. Grace eyes almost fall out of her sockets, giving me the "since when did we associate with them" look.

"Hey so have you two decided to go with us tomorrow?" Blaise casually asks.

"Go where?" Grace turns to me.

"To watch the challenge with Blaise and his friends. Then go to Hogsmeads after" I say giving her a play it cool look.

"Oh sure, sounds fun to me" she says cooley

Draco walks in and takes a seat beside Blaise. I can see the confusion flash across Graces face. If I'm being honest I'm just as confused.

"Stella, want to go to work on our assignment now?" Draco asks.

I give him a weird look, "sure?" I say.

I wave goodbye to Grace and give her a "I'll tell you everything later look"

He walks a few steps ahead of me out of the Great Hall. I'm totally whiplashed by his behaviour. He ignored me almost all day. Now he needs my help?

"What do you want Draco?" I say, stopping in the hall.

He turns back to me, "what do you mean? I need help in class"

" you have a 94 in the class. You don't need my help. You only talk to me when Blaise does" I rest my hands on my hips.

" I don't know what you're talking about" he rolls his eyes and starts to walk away.

"Well I have other things to do, so you can do the assignment yourself" I stand in the same spot.

He turns around and glares at me, "whatever" he cocks and walks down the hall. Leaving me there standing alone and confused.
