A week has passed by since the second task. McGonagall apologized and said that I was used as Cedrics trophy, that's why she had to use a sleeping spell on me and she knew that sneaking it into tea was the only way she could out smart me.
Classes have been long. I've had so much homework and assignments this week I've barley had anytime to myself.
It's finally Sunday and all my school work is done so I can finally relax.
I walk into the common room to see my friends sprawled across the couches in front of the fire, chatting along.
I smile at what's in front as I watch Grace cuddles into Lewis arms. It's weird how the last three years we didn't have many friends in our house, it was just the two of us. The girls who didn't fit in and were friends with Harry Potter. We were ignored and walked over. As much as I'm not a fan of Blaise anymore after realizing he is a complete pig, I'm thankful he invited us to watch the first task with him. Because if he didn't, my best friend wouldn't of gotten the courage to talk to Lewis, who has not only showed her a happier side of life, but has let us into his friend group. Making us feel a warm welcome. Making us feel like we finally belonged.
I snap out of my thoughts and look at the clock on the wall that reads 2:30pm.
"I'll see you guys later" I say standing up.
"Wheres she going?" I hear Draco ask Grace, in a annoyed tone.
The door closes behind me and I walk down the corridors to meet Cedric outside, said he had to show me something.
"Guess who" I say covering his eyes. As I stand on the step higher then him, being able to reach over his head.
"Hmm I wonder" he says before turning around and lifting my hands off his face. "Oh it's just Stella" he pretends to look annoyed.
I playfully shove him and he lets out a deep laugh.
"So what did you want to show me"
"This way" he says, he grabs my hand and pulls me over the hill. I smile as I see a blanket laid out and a picnic set up.
"I know you've been stressed this week, with school, So I thought a picnic might cheer you up" he smiles.
"This is so sweet" I blush.
We sit down and share funny childhood stories and laughs. The view on top of the hill is amazing. You can see Hagrid's hut with all the trees surrounding the castle. We stay out for hours.
The sun starts to set over the trees.
"We should get going. You need rest. Tomorrow is the last task. You need a good night sleep" I say standing up.
I hold my hands out as he reaches up and grabs them, pulling himself up and me into a hug.
"Thank you for today. I needed this" I mumble into his chest.
I say my goodbyes and walk back to the common room.
I close my eyes as I relax in the quiet room as everyone is downstairs having dinner. The soft radio plays behind me.
"Stella?" I hear Draco say.
I open eyes and see Draco standing in front of me.
I haven't really talked much to him. I was tired of feeling the constant one minute of being friends and the next him being cruel again. I was glad I got some space from him and I knew I couldn't avoid him much longer."Hi Draco" I say as he sits on the couch across from me.
"Listen. I'm sorry about, about what I said the morning after the ball, I didn't realize it'd make you hate me for three months. I was just mad. Not cause I was uh like jealous or like anything but, just hung over ya know" he stumbles over his words.
"It's alright. I'm sorry I've been giving you the cold shoulder lately.. even if you deserved it" I tease. Causing him to smile at me and let out a soft chuckle.
He doesn't say anything else. But for some reason the silence with the soft music behind us was comforting.
Almost as if I felt safe. Its weird but the feeling happens every time I'm with him and only him. Not even Cedric gives me that feeling
Only him.
