Stella is definitely not the definition of a Slytherin, well at least she doesn't think so. She's spent her last three years of Hogwarts with her best friend and only friend Grace by her side.

The Yule ball is in a week and I still have no date. I ended up declining Blaise's invite as I felt that he was only asking because he felt bad. A few guys have subtly hinted at me but I was secretly hoping Cedric would ask.
Grace and I were at the shop looking for dresses to wear. She tired on about 20 before she decided on a gorgeous black gown. I graze through the racks and sigh.
"What about this one?" Grace says holding up a gown. It's honestly the prettiest dress I've ever seen. It's a emerald green dress with a long slit that stops at the thigh. It has a unique pattern through out it.

"Wow it's gorgeous" I say in awe.
"Well go on now, try it on" Grace says basically shoving me in the dressing room.
I put the dress on and it fits me like a glove, almost as if it was made for me. It's the perfect length and flaunts my curves. I walk out and Graces jaw hits the floor.
"Yup! That's the one. You're getting it" she claps.
"I don't know Grace.. I don't even have a date yet" I say staring at myself in the mirror. Grace walks up behind me and puts her hands on my shoulders, looking at me through the mirror.
"Stella you look gorgeous in this dress. Besides we both know you'll end up with a date, and if you don't who cares? The second you walk in with that dress on the boys will go crazy" she smiles.
I finally give in after some more convincing. We make our way back to the castle in time for dinner.
"Hey Harry" I say, walking faster to catch up with him.
"Oh hey stella"
"What's wrong? You look a bit.. flustered" I frown
"I just am stressed I won't have a date for the ball. I need someone for the first dance, yet I don't have anyone" he sighs.
"I thought you were going with Cho?" I furrow my eyebrows.
"I asked her, but she has a date already" he sighs. "I assume you have someone, who are you going with?"
"Well actually I-"
"Harry, there you are mate" Ron runs over to us. "Oh Hello Stella" he smiles at me, I return the gesture. "Mate I have the perfect dates for us, but we gotta go now"
"I'll catch up with you later Stella" Harry nods walking away. Well thanks Ron, now I definitely don't have a date.
At dinner I am to stressed to eat so I just push my food around with my fork.
Grace nudges me out of my trance and nods towards the Hufflepuff table. I see Cedric give me a small smile before his friend sits in front of him blocking my view.
"Do you think....?" I start to wonder if he'll ask me to the ball.
"Yes I definitely do" she smiles at me.
The next day I sit and listen to Pansy talk about how Todd asked her to be his date.
"You know I never thought I'd go with him, but he asked in a really cute way so of course I said yes" she gossips
"Do you have a date yet Stella?" She turns to me. I see Draco tune into the conversation amongst us.
"No, not yet" I frown
"Well neither does Draco, why don't you two go together?" She suggests
"I'm to disgusting for him" I repeat what he said in a mocking tone and roll my eyes, "besides I think Cedrics going to ask me"
The bell rings and I walk out of class. My stomach forms butterflies as I see Cedric leaning against the wall.
"Oh my merlin, go over there" Pansy shoves me towards Cedric.
"Hey Cedric" I walk over smiling.
"Hey Stella, so I just wanted to say something" he looks down a bit nervous.
"Sure what's up?" I ask cheerfully, knowing what's coming next.
"So I wanted to ask you to the Yule Ball with me" he starts, my smile becomes even larger, "but Cho asked me yesterday and I thought you already had a date so I said yes, but then earlier today I overheard Grace say you didn't. I just wanted to let you know because I didn't want you to think I didn't want to go with you" he says quietly.
The smile on my face starts to turn into a frown, "it's okay"
"I really am sorry. I thought you were going with Draco so I-"
"Draco?" I cut him off.
"Yeah I overheard him talking to Lewis last week that he was gonna ask you, so I thought he already did. That's why I said yes to Cho" he explains.
My brows furrow, last week Draco literally said he'd be disgusted to go with me yet he was planning on asking me?
"It's okay Ced, I'm not upset at all" I smile at him.
"Okay good because I still wanted to take you up on that next hang out we were talking about" he smiles.
