Lost in Blue

chapter seventeen

" I still can't believe Draco said that, and then kissed you!" Grace exclaimed beside me.

We walk to the hall for breakfast. I filled her in this morning about last night. She was shocked that he admitted ed it but she knew he had some sort of feelings towards me.

"So are you two like, dating now" she giggles.

"What! We just kissed Grace" I laugh at her giddiness. Way to hit the gas pedal.

"Well he admitted how he felt which is really big for him" she says as we sit down across from each other.

"I know, so that's why I'm not gonna push anything right now, besides I'm confused myself" I confessed.

"Morning Ladies" Lewis chirps, sitting down with Draco behind him. 

Lewis kisses Graces cheek and sits beside her, Draco sitting down beside me.

"Good morning" I pipe up. I feel the air get a bit awkward around us. We all know what happened, just no one wants to bring it up.

"Have you guys prepared for your OWLs yet?" I say starting a conversation, "you need to make sure you have a study guide prepared. They're only two weeks away"

"Way to stress me out now Stella" Lewis chuckles

"Relax Ms. Know it all" Draco says beside me, " I'm sure we can manage" he laughs.

I feel my cheeks heat up slightly. After he left me yesterday I thought he'd give me the cold shoulder again, pushing me away like how he does. But I can tell he's some what trying, which is sweet.

"I'm just making sure, I don't want to be the only one making it to year 6" I tease.

"How crazy is that" Grace sighs, "I swear I feel like I just got sorted by that ugly old hat"

"Yeah I swear it feels like just yesterday I met a crazy blonde haired girl with purple through out" I say with a smirk, knowing she says how much she regrets putting that purple in her hair.

"Definitely not my best decision" she sighs dramatically.

"Well I better go to class before Umbridge skins me alive. I'll see you at lunch" I say grabbing my books.

"Stella, wait" Draco says grabbing his books, "I'll walk with you. I mean cause we have the class together"

I nod and see Graces eyes light up from the corner of my eye. We stand up and walk out of the hall, with a bit of an awkward space between us.

" What're you up to later?"

"I'm not to sure, I don't think anything" I click my tongue.

"Great. So you can hang out with me then" he smiles.

"Hmm I mean I guess" I tease him, earning a playful shove.

I see Harry a bit ahead of us. I haven't talked to him since everything has happened.

"I'll catch up with you in a minute" I turn to Draco. He gives me a look but then nods and disappears into class.

"Harry" I tap his shoulder.

"Hey Stella" he smiles sadly.

I don't say anything I just bring him into my arms and give him a long hug.

"You are the strongest person I know, I admire you, ya know" I smile.

"I was meaning to ask what happened. Ron said you were behind him and then you weren't" he asks me

"Draco never ate one of the pastels so he didn't let me go" I say, it's not completely a lie.

"I see. We could've really used you, but I'm glad you're okay" he says.
