The morning light woke Wei Wuxian up from his sleep. He turned away from the window and covered himself with his blanket.
"Wei Wuxian wake up!" He heard Wen Qing and pulled the blanket away from him.
"Wen Qing!" he groaned and buried his head on the pillow. "It's still so early!"
Wen Qing hit him with a pillow before speaking. "It's already 10 am dumbass!"
"And so?" Wei Wuxian speaks while head still buried in the pillow, muffling his words. "The school year is done already. Let me sleep."
"Don't you have a lunch date with your cousins today?" Wen Qing reminds that made him jolt out of bed. Wen Qing have both her hands on her waist while raising a brow at him.
"Shit! You're right!" He said and scurried into the bathroom. "Thanks Qing! I really don't know what to do without you!" He told her before closing the door. Wen Qing threw the pillow she was holding at his direction that made him laugh.
"Hurry up! Or else I'm leaving without you!" He heard her say before she exits his bedroom.
Wei Wuxian sighed and basked at the hot water from the shower. He hurriedly took a bath because Jiang Cheng will kill him if he's late today and he doesn't want to take the bus. Because Wen Qing will really leave him if he takes too long. He have experienced that many times for him to believe her words. He was still late, but thankfully, Wen Qing didn't leave him behind.
Soon, Wen Qing is driving him to their meeting place because Wei Wuxian doesn't have a car. Or more like, he doesn't want to have one.
"Are you on night duty today?" Wei Wuxian asked her while they near his destination.
"No. I'm just gonna go to the hospital to check on my patient that I operated yesterday." She answers and parked at the side when they arrived.
Wei Wuxian nods and grin at her, "The ever great Doctor Wen!" he says and exits the car when the latter hit his arm. "Thanks Qing! I'll see you later at home!" he bids goodbye to her and started walking towards the café where they agree to met.
He immediately spotted his cousins when he enters the café. Jiang Yanli was waving and smiling at him, so Wei Wuxian smiled back and walked toward where they are.
"Yanli-jie!" he says and kissed her cheek before sitting beside her. "Jiang Cheng my favorite cousin!" he greet his cousin that just glared at him.
"Shut up." he says and looked at his wrist watch. "You're late."
"No I'm not."
"You're 30 minutes late." Jiang Cheng informed him and rolled his eyes.
"Ahh." Wei Wuxian took a sip from his matcha frappe. They really know what he likes. He grinned at his cousin who raised a brow at him. "Did Cheng-cheng missed me so much that he's so eager to see me?"
Jiang Cheng choked on his caramel macchiato when he heard what Wei Wuxian said. He quickly grabbed a napkin from their table to wiped his mouth before sending a death glare to his cousin who is now laughing at him. Even Jianh Yanli is smiling beside him.
"Wei Wuxian! Who the fuck are you calling Cheng-cheng?!" Jiang Cheng snapped at him.
"You are! My sweet little cousin." Wei Wuxian answered while laughing and attemped to pinch his cheeks. Jiang Cheng swat his hand away before glaring at him.
"That's enough you two." Jiang Yanli mediated between them when she sensed that they will start to bicker again. She tooked a sip from her drink before turning to her cousin. "Wuxian, is the school year finally over?"
