Chapter 7 - The Calm before the Storm

Somewhere, in an unknown place,

There's a large ship sailing across the calm sea. Onboard, there are two shipgirls doing things at the balcony.

"Ping Hai! Any luck?" One of them said,

"No, sister." The other, named Ping Hai, replied.

"At this rate, we'll never reach Azur Lane base by sunset."

"I'll try sending the signal again."

Yes. The two are sailing to the Azur Lane base, but due to an unknown circumstances, their radars are jammed. They are trying their best to find any clue to get to the base, but so far, no luck. And so, they are doing everything they can to reach the base safely.

However... in a remote island not too far from the ship...

"Feind gesichtet. Warten auf Ihre Bestellungen."

Now onto the main story, back at Azur Lane's Base Island,

After a long and peaceful sleep, (Y/n) wakes up with a bit of tireness on his face. He looks around his bed to find anything suspicious, but he sigh in relief as he didn't find anything. He goes washing his face, before walking out of his room and heading towards the cafeteria.

"(Y/n)!" He then sees Javelin running towards him.

"Morning Jav..." He replied. She then quickly bows, making him confused,

"I'm sorry for ruining our tour! I was hoping that the ordeal can be handled smoothly, but it got out of hand, and I wasn't even able to check on you after the battle." Javelin apologized,

"I-it's no problem. You were focusing on your duty first. Though I'm glad that you're worried about me."

"But I want to make up to you." Javelin lamented, then an idea struck her, "I know! How about we go to the arcade!" When she said arcade, he gets excited by it.

"There's an arcade here?!" He said with gleam in his eyes,

"Yeah, built just recently in fact."

"I see, so let's go there after breakfast then." And the two walks into the cafeteria to have their breakfast together. However, behind them are Oklahoma and Nevada are watching the scene.

"They looked like a real couple, ain't that right, sis?" Nevada said,

"It's honestly cute." Oklahoma added.

Timeskip, near the arcade,

"Here we are." (Y/n) and Javelin are now inside a large building, filled with arcade machines and many other attractions, which made him look in awe.

"Man, this arcade will give the intern a run for the money" Taiga said,

'Intern? Wait, you mean-' (Y/n) thought before getting interrupted by Taiga,

"Hojo Emu himself, yes. All we need now is a rhythm game to find the "Poppy" of this world."

"Alright, what game should we play first?" Javelin asked, and the two begins having fun at the arcade.

The two are now enjoying some cakes at a cake shop near the arcade. And like last time, Taiga remarked that it reminds him of a fellow Doctor Rider,

"Hiro this time, huh..." He pondered,

'Are you... feeling nostalgic today, Taiga?' (Y/n) thought while taking a bite of his cheesecake,
