When I woke up the next morning, Soda was standing by the closet putting on a pair of jeans. He looked at me and smiled, "Morning sunshine."
"Morning baby," I replied, starting to get out of bed. He walked over and pulled me back down.
"Let's just lay down for a little," he said. I agreed and snuggled into his chest.
We laid there for a few minutes until Eddie called from downstairs that breakfast was ready. Soda kissed me before getting up. I got up too and got dressed.
They sent me over to the guest house to gather everyone else. When I walked in, all the boys were gathered around Johnny, patting his back and smiling. Donna and Evie walked over to me, Donna having a huge smile on her face as well.
"What is going on?" I asked.
"Donna and Johnny made quite a ruckus last night if you know what I nean," Evie said excitedly before Donna could explain.
"No way!"
Donna just nodded and smiled, "We were going to keep it a secret but I guess the walls were thinner than we assumed."
Evie and I burst out laughing.
"Well I'm happy for you. I can't believe little Johnny actually did it."
"You know, all the guys will be pushing for you and Soda to be next," Evie said, nudging my shoulder as we started to walk out.
My smiled faded. I wasn't sure if I wanted to have sex with Soda yet. It didn't feel right. Not after what happened on New Years Eve and especially not if he was being pressured by his friends.
"Yeah right," I said. "Let's go eat."
We all went back to the main house and ate breakfast. A little while after, we went back down to the beach. The surf was great again. This time, I did try to teach Two-Bit a little something. I was quite surprised at how well he caught on. At the very end of the day, he caught his first wave. He didn't ride it very long but he still caught it. I tried to teach Sodapop too but he didn't catch on as well.
We stayed there all day and I'm sure we all wished we had put more sunscreen on. I was thankful the pressure hadn't gotten to Soda yet. All he wanted to do that night was cuddle under the warm blankets. I couldn't have asked for more.
The next day, we went sight seeing. We found the Hollywood sign and took a walk on the Walk of Fame. It was cool to see all of the celebrities' stars.
"Maybe one day one of us will be on here," Soda said.
"Yeah maybe Two-Bit," Darry added. "Famous Comedian."
"Well maybe you will, hot shot," Two-Bit fired back.
"I wouldn't mind that," Darry laughed.
"I could see it," I smiled.
We explored Los Angeles a little more. Mostly because Dally wanted to run into a celebrity. Unfortunately, we didn't. Then we went back to the house and spent the night there. Soda and I stayed in the pool until nearly 2 am.
"Have I told you that your beautiful lately?" He asked as I wrapped my arms around the back of his neck.
"You just did." I kissed him. "And thank you."
He kissed me. And then again. And again. And, well, again. Then he stopped and looked up. I followed his gaze up to the house. Sam was looking out the window giving Soda a thumbs up. He quickly ducked down after I saw him. I laughed and slowly shook my head.
"You want to take this inside?" He asked, running his fingers along my back.
I nodded. He took my hand and led me out of the pool. We went upstairs, changed into our pajamas, and crawled into bed. As soon as I laid down, he pulled me closer and started to kiss me again. It was great until he started to take off my shirt. I stopped him.
"Wait Soda, I don't think I want to do this." He sat back and looked at me.
"You mean have sex?" He asked.
"Yeah. I mean I'm sorry. I just don't think I'm ready. I-" I started to get worked up and I wasn't even sure why. He cut me off.
"Hey, it's okay," he whispered, wrapping his arms around me. "I don't want to do anything you're not ready to do, okay?"
I smiled at him, relieved he wasn't upset, "Thank you."
"You don't need to thank me." He snuggled up closer to me, resting his head on mine. "Let's get some rest."
He laid there for the rest of the night just holding me. Playing with my hair until we both fell asleep. I was so happy with him. He respected me. He didn't push me. He loved me. I couldn't ask for more.
