My headaches. Oh man

My legs tremble. There was no other way.

My heart shattered. I don't want to go.

Everything was hazy when I opened my eyes, but even more blurry when they were closed. All I could feel was the survivor's guilt of knowing that I might never see Peter again.

I woke up on the cold metal floor of the ship, an ache in my side from where I slept on. I slowly sat up and shook off the sleep from my body before I took a deep breath. My dreams were consumed of him, and every morning was the same thing: wake up, think of him, grief, pretend I'm okay.

I yawned and brought by arms over my head, arching my back slightly to get the best stretch possible. I stood up and fix my h/l hair out. I still had some cuts and bruises healing from that Titan battle 20 days ago.

My eyes glazed over and I shook my head, exhaling a big breath.

''Y/N, you up?'' I heard a familiar voice ring through the halls. I walked to the doorway and turned the corner to meet eyes with  Mr. Stark, the only person who had kept me going after the fight.

''Yeah,'' I said, my voice sounded dry and distant. I cleared my throat. ''Yeah, I'm up.''

''Good'' the man said, After the fight on Titan, Tony had seemed to age ten years, though I knew that I must have, also. We both lost someone close that day. ''I uh, found another packet of dried fruit in a container. Do you want it?''

''No, no, I'm dismissed. I offered our final packet of food to Nebula who we met on Titan who gave it back to me and insisted that I eat it. ''I ate last night. I'm young, I can hold up.'' I said to him.

''Exactly. You're young.''

I sighed in defeat, knowing full well that if I refused the food again, Tony would shove it down my esophagus until I swallowed. ''Fine, I'll get it in a bit. Need to work up my appetite.''

Tony nodded. He knew that, if it were up to me, I wouldn't be eating at all.

''Alright, kid. Take your time'' he said, I gave him a half-hearted smile and began to walk away when his voice stopped me. ''The kid would throw a fit if you didn't eat least a bite.''

I swallowed and continued walking ''I know.''

My footsteps echoed the small halls with each step I took. I dragged my hands along the wall as I went, not really having any purpose than just going. Every day since the fight, I had explored Quill's ship. Tony got it working again when he decided that enough, but none of us could save it when it died.
