Carol flew back up to the ship.
''No satellites, no ship, no armies; no ground defenses of any kind. It's just him.'' she informed us.
''Good.'' I said.
Nebula spoke up in a quiet but dangerous voice.
''And that's enough.''

''Are you sure Thanos is really here?'' I asked Steve as he, Nat and I looked at his wooden shack from a short distance away. The three of us were crouched in some long grass, waiting for our signal.
When I saw a light from the corner of my eye. I looked up to see a familiar ball of light rocketing toward the broken down hut quickly.
''Marvel's moving in,'' Nat said, her eyes followed Carol.
''Should we?'' I asked.
''Not yet...'' Steve answered, his eyes locked on the house. Carol crashed through the roof, and I heard a loud groan from inside. Rhodey that jumped out from his hiding place, too, and broke the shack.
I heard another loud yell when Thor busted through the wall, and felt a pit in my stomach form when I knew.
''Now.''
''We began walking toward the cabin, and I couldn't help but feel badass in my old suit with my hair blowing freely behind me.
We reached the stairs to the shack and I noticed the way they sqeaked underneath us as we climbed the few. The first thing I saw inside was Thanos kneeling on the ground with Carol holding him chokehold, Rhodey securing his arm and Bruce, in an Iron-Man suit, his other.
Rocket walked over to Thanos' severed hand on the ground. It still wore the gauntlet, but when he turned it over, the stones were gone.
My eyes widen when we realized it was now empty.
''Oh, no,'' Rocket muttered, looking up at us in shock. I felt the pit in my stomach grow. Nat and Steve exchanged looks.
''Where are they?'' Steve asked. Thanos just continued to grunt in pain.
''Answer the question.'' I said, using my ice powers to form a sharp icicleand put it to his chest, making him twice even more.
''The universe required correction. After that the stones served no purpose beyond temptation.''
''You murdered trillions!'' Bruce shouted as he pushed Thanos with force, causing both Carol and Rhodey to stumble off of him.
''You should be grateful.'' Thanos spat. I had enough and punched him in the face.
''Where are the stones?'' Natasha asked with tears in her eyes, worried but her voice steady.
''Gone... Reduced to atoms.'' He spoke. I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes as reality starts t so kick in.
''You used them two days ago,'' Bruce said.
''I used the stones to destroy the stones.'' Thanos met our eyes and gave us a sinister smile.
I looked around at everyone they were all staring at the Titian. We couldn't bring everyone back.
Peter gone...
''But the work done. I am inevitable.'' He spoke.
I began to loose feeling in my body. I almost drop to my knees. Luckily Steve was able to kept my balance.
''We have- we have to tear this place apart,'' Rhondey said suddenly, stumbling over his words. ''He's got to be lying.''
''My father is many things. A liar is not one of them.'' Nebula spoke up.
''Ah, thank you daughter. Perhaps I treated you too harshly.''
Before he could go any further Thor swung his axe around chopping the head of Thanos. His head was on the floor, and body fell back, and I felt like I would throw up.
''...What did you do?'' Rocket gasped. I looked up to Thor, who stared at Thanos' severed head.
''I went for the head.''
Thor turned around and walked out the door, and my emotions finally caught up to me. I fell onto my knees and began to cry. I didn't even care that it was front of the whole team. I would never see my best friend/boyfriend again.
''Oh, Y/N,'' Natasha kneeled down beside me and rubbed my back soothingly. ''Here, Steve help her up.''
I felt my two hands under my arm which effortlessly lifted from the ground. Steve set me on my feet, but I was too exhausted so I fell forward again. This time, Nat caught me on one arm, Steve the other, and they help me back to the ship.
