The next morning Steve pick me up from my apartment to head to the Avenger Facility.
As we reach the building and head inside, to find everyone getting ready for test runs.
The van had already been fired up and Scott stood in front of it, ready in his Quantum Realm Suit.
Banner, Nat, and Steve stood behind a table with tons of buttons and switches.
''We're good.'' Banner gave Scott a thumbs-up.
''Scott, I'll send you back a week, let you back a week, let you walk around for about an hour, then bring you back in seconds,'' Banner explained to Scott. ''Make sense?''
''Perfectly not confusing,'' Scott shrugged.
''Good luck Scott. You got this.'' Steve reassured.
''You're right... I do Captain America,'' Scott smirked. I was still amused by Scott's smirked. I was still amused by Scott's obsession with Captain America. I mean if I was in his shoes, I'd be freaking as well.
Scott disappeared into the van. My shoulders tensed and my posture straightened. This has to work.
Banner counted down to 3 before pressing a button to bring him back.
The only problem was, when he came back he wasn't normal Scott. He was a little kid.
''Guys? This doesn't feel right,'' The kid looked at himself confused.
''Is that Scott?'' Nat asked.
''Yes, it's Scott,'' the kid answered as Banner panicked, trying to find a solution.
Before we knew it, he went back into the machine before coming back out again. This time he was an old man.
The others were still in panic mode.
''Can you bring him back?'' Steve paced as Banner began pressing more buttons.
The time when he went and came back he was a baby.
''It's a baby,'' Steve deadpanned.
''It's Scott.'' Banner tried to reassure us.
''He'll grow.'' Bruce tried to reason.
''Just bring Scott back.'' I talked over the two.
