A/N// Get the tissues ladies and gentlemen this is another tear-jerker moment

SNAP

The effect from the blast sent me flying away from where I was running towards Tony. Everything became quiet. I look into the sky. It was like a feeling of peace washed over the sky seemed to blow away, welcoming in light.

I looked around Thanos' army begin to turn into dust, the same way our friends did five years ago.

Thanos looked around, not even fighting what was about to happen. It was as if he had just accepted defeat. He looked around watching his army dust away.

Stumbling backward, the purple giant who caused us so much pain over the past five years sat down on a rock, like he knew this was his time and this was destiny was supposed to play out. He took a deep breath before his body slowly began to crumble into dust, drifting away.

I sighed in relief, a small smile on my face disappeared as quickly as it came as I remembered why they were disappearing

I pushed my weak body from the ground and searched for Tony. I put my hand to my side, pulling it back to see my hand now covered in red from blood. I wiped the blood off my pants. There was no time to worry about myself. All that mattered right now was finding Tony.

My breathing quickened as I pushed my feet along the ground. He had to be okay. He was THE Tony Stark.

I didn't want to bring myself to believe what could possibly be true. My feet came to a stop when Rhondey knelt in front of his limp body. I cover my hand to my mouth to keep myself from crying once I saw him.

His body was pale and grey looking. His suit was burnt as well as half of his face. The only thing telling me he wasn't already dead was the movement of his eyes.

He looked up at Rhondey who had his hand resting on Tony's face. He couldn't speak but his eyes said everything was supposed to play out and in the end, he would make a huge sacrifice and he wanted to be the one to do it.

I brought myself moving again, falling to my knees in front of Tony. His eyes drifted from Rhondy to me and Rhondy moved out the way.

I smiled at him trying to form words to reassure him it was okay, but nothing comes out of my mouth but sobs, as reality began to sit in.

''Mr. Stark,'' I heard a frail voice behind me, belonging to none other than Peter. ''Mr. Stark. Can you hear me?'' Peter knelt in front of Tony, next to me.

''It's me... it's Peter.'' He said in a shaky voice. ''We won Mr. Stark... We won.'' I could hear him trying to keep back his tears.

''You did it, sir, you did it... I'm sorry Tony.'' He placed his hand on Tony's shoulder.

Hearing Peter talk only made me emotional. I don't think I had ever heard him call him by his first name

I pushed myself to my feet, backing away as Pepper came up, putting her hand on Peter, before making her way in front of Tony.

Peter came over me, wrapping me in his arms. I buried my head into his shoulder, scared of what would happen next. She knelt down in front of him, placing her hands on his chest. Using all his strength he muttered her name, placing his hand over hers.

Pepper gave a proud smile. ''Tony, look at me... We are going to be okay,'' She told him as he tried to mumbled words.

''You can rest now.''

All I wanted to do right now was yell at her letting him rest. The world needed Tony Stark... I needed Tony Stark.

But deep down, this was all too right. Like this was his legacy.

His head tilted to the side. I knew what would be approaching in the last few minutes, we all did. It was just a matter of when it was going to happen.

His hand slowly fell from hers and the light on his suit dimmed before going off completely. I could hear the tears from Steve and Thor behind me.

He was gone, Tony Stark was dead. Iron-Man was dead.

He could finally rest.

'' I hope they remember you'' Thanos words haunted me to know what he meant by it.

He knew the risks. He knew the consequences. He knew exactly who he'd be leaving behind. He knew what he is missing. He had always dreamed of ending the fight so ''They could go home,'' but this time he wasn't going home.

Tony Stark became the hero the planet needed.

This was his destiny but in my opinion, destiny sucked.

My knees suddenly became weak. If it weren't for Peter's arms around me, I would've fallen. to the ground.

''Y/N?'' Peter said my name through his tears with worry. Slowly he lowered my weak body to the ground.

Steve and Thor rushed behind him.

''Y/N?'' Peter repeated my name.

His eyes widened when he looked down at his hands, which were coated in blood... my blood.

He looked back to Steve and Thor in panic. Looking back down at me he noticed the stab wound on my side. ''Oh my God,'' He mumbled with a shaky voice.

His hand pressed against my side, trying to stop the bleeding. My hand gripped onto his free hand.

Everything around me slowly began to fade. My eyes rolled back and began to shut.

''No Y/N... stay with us,'' Steve said, shaking my body.

''C'mon Y/N/N... don't leave me.'' Peter dug his head into my shoulder, in tears.

''Y/N L/N, if you die, I'm going have to kill you,'' Thor spoke, trying to stay strong.

''Pete, I love you.'' I choke out.

''Hey, don't say that like this is goodbye,'' Peter shook his head, trying to keep a strong front, but was failing.

I simply huffed in pain.

''Y/N, you're a fighter... you always have been. You have to fight through this... For Peter... for Natasha and Tony... for me.'' Steve took over for Peter, who couldn't form words through tears. ''You have worked hard to get them back for this, so don't you die on me.''

I nodded my head weakly.

I didn't want to die. I was too young and still had my whole life ahead of me.

If this was a few years ago, I would've just accepted it. But for now, I had so much more. I had my friends back... I had my family back... I had Peter back. I now had something to live for.

Breathing got harder, as I began to cough, struggling to regain my composure. I leaned over once the coughing had stopped, spitting out blood out my mouth.

I leaned my head back on the ground. The three screamed and begged me to keep my eyes open, but I couldn't fight off the darkness anymore. My grips on Peter's hand loosened.

I let it in and everything around me became black.
