The ship landed with a gentle thud that made my hair sway. I fiddled with the broken piece of my suit, anxious to get to meet the Avengers where they were waiting for us.

I unbuckled the seatbelt that held me to my seat and stood up, slightly nauseous from how fast we had been traveling Tony stood up beside me, and I could see the home in his eyes. The ball of light that I had woken up to had turned out to be someone named Captain Marvel, and she informed us that the Avengers had sent her to find us.

Tony so desperately wanted Pepper to be alive, and the thought of no one waiting for me made the pain in my heart grow.

''Ready to go home kid?'' Tony asked me as he began walking towards the door.

I sighed and dropped my shoulders. ''As I'll ever be.''

The door opened letting in a breath of fresh air. Nebula and I help Tony down the stairs as he too tired to go own when Steve ran up to us.

''Captain,'' I greeted with a nod and tired smile.

''Y/N,'' Steve smiled back. When I had first been recruited as an Avenger, Tony had made it his duty to make sure I become close with all of them. I hadn't seen any of them in awhile, so this was somewhat like a reunion.

I let Steve  help Tony down the rest of the stairs and Nebula stayed behind me.

''I couldn't stop him'' Tony said, in a defeated tone.

''Neither could I,'' Steve responded.

Tony then looked to Steve with glassy eyes and glanced at me, causing them to stop.

''I lost the kid,'' Tony spoke in a pained voice.

''Tony we lost.''

Tony looked like as if he were about to say something else but was cut off when Pepper ran up to the two.

''Oh, my God,'' She cried. Pepper wrapped her arms around Tony's neck and began to cry. ''Oh my God.''

They began walking together, but Steve stayed in his spot to look back at me. He held out his arm for me and I walked forward a few steps to take it. Everyone on the team acted as if I needed protecting, but at that moment I accepted it.

As we walked to the building, I glanced back at the ship and noticed Nebula sitting on the stairs with an animal that seemed to be holding her hand.

''Should I be concerned with the bunny...?'' I whispered to Steve. He looked back and chuckled when he saw what I was referring to.
