Luz strained against the Abomination. Trapped in it's large purple fist. Goop dripping down her body, the fatigue from that morning catching up to her. She had to escape, before her mind went dark. Grunting with effort, she yanked her arm out of the abomination. And began drawing a fire spell into it's gooey body.
'This was going to hurt.'
With a deep breath Luz slapped her hand into the spell activating it. The fire spell glowing a crimson red. As the abomination began to burn, its body melting away, Luz could feel the fire as it flickered on her arms, giving her severe burns.
As Luz pulled herself out of the burning carcass, she stood up. Her vision swaying. "Amity!" Luz cried as she began stumbling in the direction the Blights had gone.
'Was this the right direction?' Luz couldn't remember clearly. Her vision fading, Luz desperately shook her head. Trying to keep herself awake. The world was spinning. The fire spreading onto the dry ground racing towards her. Her legs turning to jelly. In the distance Luz thought she could hear a voice.
'Who is that?' She thought, her brain melting. The smoke burning her already empty lungs.
Luz collapsed her legs too weak to carry her. Straining in desperation to write a glyph, any glyph into the ground, Luz's hands trembled. The fire was growing closer and closer with every second. It reached Luz's hand and snaked up her arm. The flames dancing on her skin. Breaking flesh and burning blood.
Luz thought she heard footsteps. Then as her vision began to completely fade she heard a voice.
"Human?"
