Gus was lying down in the grass. The ocean wind, playing with his hair. The white clouds were floating in the air, dancing in the dark blue sky, and the sun giving life to the flowers around him. The world looked so peaceful, so perfect. Too bad life wasn't like that. Time was still, yet questions danced in Gus's mind.
"What do I know?" Gus asked the wind. The question lingered in the air, before the wind took it away not bothering to give him a reply.
"What can I do?" He asked the tides. The tides splashed against the rocks, beating the cliffs. The ocean taking his words and dragging them into its watery depths.
"Why am I here?" He asked the sun and sky. The sky danced with the clouds as the sun's rays gave Gus an angelic glow.
"You know that your friends need you" The wind whispered.
Gus sat up, not expecting an answer.
"And that you can always be there to give them a helping hand." The tide said louder.
Gus was starting to rise now, kneeling on the ground, he pushed up.
"You are here, because you want to be!" The sun and sky cried out to him.
Gus was standing now, the world answering his questions. Gus turned and began walking towards the owl house, ready to help, ready to do something!
The wind lead him on, The tides pushed him forward, the sun and sky gave him strength. Gus reached for the door and pulled it open. His uncertainty was gone with the wind, his sorrows drowned by the sea, and his world brightened by the Sun and sky. The distance between his insecurities and his confident was far.
